(NationalSentinel) Pope Francis has become well-known for his liberal political views, and has even expressed views that conflict with Catholic dogma. But did the pontiff just compare the new U.S. president to one of the most evil pieces of garbage who ever lived–Adolph Hitler–like the angry, unhinged Left in America has repeatedly done?
You be the judge.
As noted by Infowars, Francis–using language employed by every globalist on the planet–warned against the rising tide of “populism” that is sweeping the West.
“Crises provoke fear, alarm. In my opinion, the most common example of European populism is Germany in 1933… A people that was immersed in a crisis, that looked for its identity until this charismatic leader came and promised to give their identity back, and he gave them a distorted identity, and we all know what happened,” he said in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
“Hitler did not steal power,” the Pope said. “He was elected by his people and then he destroyed his people. In times of crisis, we lack judgment, and that is a constant reference for me… That is why I always try to say: talk among yourselves, talk to one another.
Francis made his comments as Trump was being sworn in as the nation’s 45th president.
He went on to say he would reserve judgment of Trump for the time being, but the reference to the former Nazi leader appeared to be clear.
“We will see how he acts, what he does, and then I will have an opinion. But being afraid or rejoicing beforehand because of something that might happen is, in my view, quite unwise. It would be like prophets predicting calamities,” he said.
Odd, isn’t it, that the same globalists who were cheering the “Arab Spring” are now decrying the same kind of populism/nationalism that is sweeping the West. What’s even more notable is that the same globalist factions decrying the rise of Trump and similar leaders in Europe are the reason why these so-called ‘populists’ are garnering so much support–people are tired of having the old order sell them out to the highest second- and third-world bidder.
If Pope Francis and others with similar views really think that Americans (and Europeans) would tolerate another Hitler, they are the ones who are delusional. America elected Trump because for the first time since Reagan a presidential candidate actually spoke to them, championed them, and pledged to work for them. And for that he’s being compared to the root of nearly all 20th century evil.
It’s more than just a little “sad,” it’s dangerous, because it is the unhinged Left that is keeping our nation divided, not Trump or his legions of supporters.
