Poll: Nearly six in 10 support Trump’s immigrant ban from terrorist-sponsoring countries

But you won’t hear or see this in the ‘mainstream’ media

(NationalSentinel) Lost in all of the Left-wing media hype over President Donald J. Trump’s executive order banning people from terrorist-sponsoring countries from entering the United States is the fact that the order isn’t some racist, bigoted screed from a would-be king.

Trump issued the order because he wants to provide better protection for all Americans, even the idiots who are protesting him for it.

But that fact has not been lost on most of the country, according to a new survey from Rasmussen, which found that 57 percent of Americans back the president on this one:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57 percent of Likely U.S. Voters favor a temporary ban on refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen until the federal government approves its ability to screen out potential terrorists form coming here. Thirty-three percent are opposed, while 10 percent are undecided.

Similarly, 56 percent favor a temporary block on visas prohibiting residents of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen from entering the United States until the government approves its ability to screen for likely terrorists. Thirty-two percent oppose this temporary ban, and 11 percent are undecided.

Oh, and there’s this: The non-partisan survey does not even mention Trump’s executive action:

“Do you favor or oppose a temporary ban on refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen until the federal government improves its ability to screen out potential terrorists from coming here?”

“Do you favor or oppose a temporary block on visas prohibiting residents of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen from entering the United States until the federal government improves its ability to screen out potential terrorists from coming here?”

The current public sentiment is not much different than in was in August, when 59 percent of those surveyed expressed support for such policies.

Does that make two-thirds of the country racists and bigots, or just smart enough to understand a legitimate threat to national security when they see one?
