Majority of Hispanics back Trump’s immigration enforcement: Survey

The latest proof that most Hispanics support law enforcement

(NationalSentinel) We’re constantly told by skittish politicians and the Left-wing mainstream media that Republicans make a huge mistake among Hispanics whenever they back efforts to actually enforce U.S. immigration law.

But a new survey should help them grow a spine when it comes to this issue: A majority of Hispanics actually do support enforcement of immigration laws, which includes ending the Obama-era “catch-and-release” policy and a crackdown on so-called “sanctuary cities.”

In particular, the survey, by  McLaughlin and Associates, found that 56 percent of Hispanics supported President Donald Trump’s effort to deport illegal criminal aliens compared to 31 percent who don’t.

Also, overall, 69 percent of voters support the effort, the survey found.

“Trump voters approved 93 percent to 4 percent, but Clinton voters also approved 53 percent to 35 percent,” the survey found. “Republicans gave near unanimous support 92 percent to 6 percent; independents 66 percent to 18 percent, and Democrats approved 50 percent to 37 percent. The majority of Hispanic voters also approved the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants 56 percent to 31 percent.”

Indeed, the numbers might even be more supportive of Trump, as more Democrats (36 percent) than Republicans (33 percent) were surveyed.

Regarding the cutting off federal grants to sanctuary cities, 46 percent of Hispanic voters agreed, 43 percent opposed. Overall, the margin was 59 percent support to 29 percent opposed.
