GOP RINO bail-out on Obamacare repeal in full swing with Murkowski now pledging to oppose it

RINOs are a bigger threat to Trump’s agenda than Democrats

(NationalSentinel) Matt Drudge is right: Voters should sue the Republican Party in court for fraud. Or at least some of its less-conservative members. And we can begin with the political treachery of Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

As reported by Infowars, she is the latest GOP RINO to publicly claim she wan’t support a repeal and replace of Obamacare if it 1) does not include keeping the Medicaid expansion in place (which is a huge drain on the federal budget, especially now that insurers are bailing out as fast as they can); and 2) it removes all funding from Planned Parenthood, which self-funds, in part, through the grotesque sale of fetal body parts:

“The Affordable Care Act has failed in so many ways, but there are elements within it that deserve to be saved,” Murkowski said during an address before the Alaska Legislature.

Specifically, Murkowski citied provisions mandating coverage be provided to individuals with pre-existing conditions, the ability of people to remain on their parents’ insurance plans until the age of 26, and mental health coverage as worth saving, as well as her state’s decision to expand Medicaid under Obamacare.

“As long as Alaska wants to keep the expansion it should have the option,” she said. “I will not vote to repeal it.”

Murkowski also expressed opposition to any Obamacare repeal that also defunds Planned Parenthood.

“Taxpayer dollars should never be used to pay for abortions, but I will not vote to deny Alaskans access to the health services that Planned Parenthood provides,” Murkowski said.

This may not surprise everyone, considering that, just last month, Murkowski signed on to a measure that would delay repeal/replace of Obamacare. This is what she said at the time:

“This is a first and necessary step towards delivering better healthcare for Alaskans. The ACA has harmed Alaskans for far too long, from skyrocketing premiums to diminishing choices in coverage, and done nothing to reduce the cost of healthcare or improve its quality. We can now begin the process of creating a more affordable system by repealing key elements of the failed law and allowing for the return of flexibility to the states. Through the passage of this resolution, we are now on the way to genuine healthcare reform that is affordable, accessible, and that provides for families’ needs.”

For a senator who’s claimed she’s always been for Obamacare repeal and replace, what happened? She doesn’t actually believe that the protests of GOP lawmakers at town halls against Obamacare repeal are genuine, does she – because they’re not. They are being organized by Left-wing opposition groups to make it appear as though the law is much more popular than it is.

Either way, Murkowski, by maintaining support for the law’s Medicaid expansion, as well as treating Planned Parenthood like an entitlement program, is siding with Left-wing Democrats against the will of the American people and her own constituents. She should pay a political price at the next election.

1 Comment on GOP RINO bail-out on Obamacare repeal in full swing with Murkowski now pledging to oppose it

  1. This is a very complex issue and we hope you’ll continue following it. One of the problems facing the GOP is that Many of the people who voted for Republican Congressmen and Senators and who Thought they wanted “Obamacare” repealed didn’t understand that it was the same as the Affordable Care Act. That alone is presenting significant problems. Second, Boehner is right – at this point, an outright repeal is just plain unlikely. 1) Republicans have never wanted all Americans to have health care; 2) Now that an additional 20 million or more are insured and Like being insured Republicans can’t just yank coverage away from them; 3) In the 70 years or so that this issue has been under discussion (a time during which Democrats have offered forth a variety of proposals), Republicans have been ineffective in agreeing Among Themselves on a workable counterproposal of any kind. So… it’s a mess. The ACA was a bad piece of legislation in many ways, but it was the best that could be done given Republican’s unwillingness to participate in creating a workable solution for the benefit of all Americans. You’re right though… something has to give. Meanwhile, the question lingers: Why Don’t we have coverage on parr with what our Republican, Democratic and Independent congressional representatives enjoy?
