Home Depot co-founder: ‘Trump could be one of our greatest presidents’

Finally, some effusive praise for our chief executive

(NationalSentinel) Presidency: Outside of the tens of millions of Americans who supported him Nov. 8, it’s been difficult to find public displays of affection for President Donald J. Trump. Most who speak about him publicly do so with derision and anger.

But one of the co-founders of Home Depot is breaking from the pack. Ken Langone told CNBC‘s “Squawk Box” this morning that Trump could wind up being one of our greatest executives yet.

Telling the financial news network that Trump could be one of our “greatest presidents” if he continues “defying expectations,” Langone even went so far as to compare Trump to Ronald Reagan, the gold standard among modern conservative presidents.

“This guy has got guts,” he added. “And he’s got great people around him.”

He noted: “If President Donald Trump is able to keep defying expectations — like he did in the election — and push through legislative changes against great odds, he could go down as one of our greatest presidents ever.”

He also had a warning for Republicans: If they can’t get their act together and work with Trump to enact their agenda, they’ll be out of work soon.

Langone noted that if Trump and the GOP manage health care reform, historic tax reform and the $1 trillion infrastructure project the president has touted, that would be what passes for real revolution in D.C. these days.
