(NationalSentinel) Healthcare: It’s deja vu all over again for the big government liberals when it comes to shilling for Obamacare.
Leading the way is failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Bernie Sanders, who told CNN‘s Jake Tapper Wednesday night that “thousands” of people would die if the worst healthcare “reform” law ever is repealed by Republicans.
Except he could go on to explain how he came by the information and where his figures come from:
“You’ve said if this repeal and replace plan goes forward that thousands of Americans will die,” Tapper said to Sanders. “Where do you get that estimate from?”
“I get that estimate from the fact that studies have been done that people who do not have health insurance, who do not go to the doctor when they should, who do not go to the hospital when they need to go, in fact die,” Sanders said. “And thousands of people die every year because they don’t have health insurance. And if you throw 24 million people off of health insurance, there is no doubt that many thousands of people will die.”
To Tapper’s credit, he went on to press Sanders on the fact that Democrats own Obamacare, and that it’s failing miserably (and predictably so, by the way) everywhere. Sanders’ response?
Let’s fix it.
What? Obamacare was supposed to be the fix for all that was supposedly wrong with the American health care system. But he doesn’t mean “fix;” what Sanders wants is essentially Medicare for all – a single-payer health system that eliminates all health insurance in the private sector in lieu of government-run health insurance.
Isn’t that the problem with Obamacare – too much government-run health insurance?
Medicare is already unsustainable in its current form. Making it the universal health insurance for all Americans will only hasten its demise. The only way to save it is to throw trillions more dollars at it, and we don’t have trillions more to spend.

Big government liberals like Sanders have to use scare tactics – like telling people “thousands will die” if we scrap Obamacare – because their preferred policies have been disproven. Their ideas don’t work, will never work, and have never worked, so the only way they can sell us a new lie is by scaring us to death.
Americans have seen what a disaster the Democrats and Sanders have created with the nation’s health care system. Republicans and President Donald J. Trump were elected, in part, because they pledged to repeal and replace Obamacare with free-market reforms that have a track record of success.
No amount of scare tactics is going to convince those voters to change their minds.
Truth be told, there are still millions of Americans who don’t have health care even after Obamacare mandated coverage; maybe Tapper should have asked Sanders if “thousands” are already dying because Obamacare failed.
