(NationalSentinel) Judiciary: Citing comments then-GOP nominee Donald J. Trump made regarding Muslims on the campaign trail, a pair of liberal activist judges have blocked his revised travel ban meant to protect the nation from potential terrorist infiltration.
As reported by CNN:
A ruling by a federal judge in Hawaii Wednesday resulted in a temporary restraining order nationwide, hours before it was set to go into effect. In a decision published Thursday morning, another federal judge in Maryland specifically blocked the 90-day ban on immigration for citizens of six Muslim-majority countries.
In a 43-page ruling, US District Court Judge Derrick Watson, who presides in Honolulu, concluded in no uncertain terms that the new executive order failed to pass legal muster at this stage and the state had established “a strong likelihood of success” on their claims of religious discrimination.
The Alt-Left activism in Watson’s opinion was obvious:
“The illogic of the Government’s contentions is palpable. The notion that one can demonstrate animus toward any group of people only by targeting all of them at once is fundamentally flawed,” Watson wrote.
“Equally flawed is the notion that the Executive Order cannot be found to have targeted Islam because it applies to all individuals in the six referenced countries,” Watson added. “It is undisputed, using the primary source upon which the Government itself relies, that these six countries have overwhelmingly Muslim populations that range from 90.7% to 99.8%.”
“It would therefore be no paradigmatic leap to conclude that targeting these countries likewise targets Islam,” Watson added. “Certainly, it would be inappropriate to conclude, as the Government does, that it does not.” (RELATED: Refugees continue pouring in after judge blocked Trump travel ban)
First of all, presidents – not federal judges – set national security policy, and this order, like the last, was clearly aimed at bolstering national security, not “banning Muslims,” which has been a liberal lie and narrative since the campaign. It’s not Trump’s fault if 100 percent of the terrorism being committed today is by adherents to the Islamic faith. For a federal judge to actually base his ruling on the ethnicity of people targeted in the travel ban is outrageous.
Secondly, the president does, by law, have the authority to ban entire classes of people if he deems that doing so is in the national security interests of the country. Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 states: “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”
It doesn’t get any clearer than that.

The Justice Department announced it will defend the travel ban, and Trump said last night during a rally in Nashville, Tenn., that he would take the case all the way to the Supreme Court if need be.
That needs to happen, but short of that, as we have recommended, Trump – acting as Lincoln did during the Civil War – should take extreme action in ensuring that the country is protected, and if that means ignoring inappropriate rulings from federal judges who are acting politically, then so be it.Click here for reuse options!
