(NationalSentinel) The Swamp: President Donald J. Trump is stepping up his rhetoric against former Obama administration personnel believed to have had a hand in unmasking members of his campaign and transition team, chief among them Susan Rice.
Trump, during an interview with Fox Business‘ Maria Bartiromo on Monday, dismissed Rice’s denials last week that she did not unmask former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn for political reasons.
“Does anybody believe that?” the president said. “Nobody believes that, even the people that try to protect her in the news media.”
Trump then reasserted his bombshell March 4 allegation – that he and members of his team were under surveillance by the Obama administration, a claim that seems eminently true at this point, based on prior reports.
“So many people are coming up to me and apologizing now. … Perhaps I didn’t know how right I was,” he said.
To back up his allegation, Trump once more cited the New York Times article with the word “wiretapped” in the headline of the print edition, pointing out that it was a huge story.
“What they did was horrible,” he said.Click here for reuse options!
