(National Sentinel) Media: Ordinarily, we root for the underdog, unless that underdog deserves to be one.
After a couple of miserable weeks in which the network has been forced to retract fake stories on the Trump administration and whose personnel have outed top managers and editors as focusing on BS “Trump-Russia” narratives just for ratings, CNN took a beating in ratings this week, falling to 10th in prime time ratings behind Fox News and MSNBC, but also to FX, TLC, The Discovery Channel — and even children’s TV network Nick-at-Nite.
As reported by Breitbart News:
The network was hit last month by an embarrassing fake news scandal in which it was forced to retract an article on alleged ties between a Russian investment fund and members of Trump’s campaign team. Three employees resigned in relation to the scandal.
But it has also been dogged by tapes suggesting that some of its employees believe the Russia-Trump controversy is “bullshit,” and just this week the network was widely condemned for having gone after the alleged creator of an anti-CNN meme that President Trump later tweeted. The hashtag #CNNBlackmail quickly went viral online.
It appears the network is suffering in the ratings as a result. As first reported by The Federalist, cable ratings for June 26 — July 2 show that while Fox and MSNBC occupy the first and second slots for ratings 8 p.m. – 11 p.m., CNN is in 13th place.
However, because Trump Derangement Syndrome is epidemic at the network, CNN is unrelenting in its asinine behavior. On Thursday, the network’s unhinged White House correspondent, Jim Acosta, accused President Donald J. Trump of “fake news” for claimingthat “three or four” intelligence agencies had identified Russia as the culprit in hacking during the 2016 presidential election.
But, the president is correct, not Acosta: last week The Associated Press and The New York Times reluctantly published corrections retracting widely reported claims that all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies agreed that the Russians interfered in the 2016 election with the goal of helping Donald Trump, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
“Rather, the assessment involved information collected by the FBI, CIA and NSA, and was then published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which represents all the intelligence agencies,” the site noted.
In the Age of Trump, CNN has completely lost any credibility it had prior to his November election victory.
As for the rest of the Trump-hating media, much of CNN‘s damage came from undercover videos produced by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas; in January, O’Keefe told attendees of The Deploraball in Washington, D.C., his organization was going after the “mainstream media,” to expose it’s ridiculous bias.
CNN was the first take-down. We expect Project Veritas has much more in store, involving take-downs of other outlets unhinged by Trump’s victory.
Let the decline and fall of Washington’s washed-up, elitist, and hopelessly biased establishment media begin. We’ll see you on the other side.
