Trump clarifies Charlottesville violence: ‘Alt-Left’ just as responsible; media and RINOs freak out

Trump is exactly right to place blame on both the Alt-Right and the Alt-Left for purposely creating a climate of violence that led to loss of life and scores of injuries

(National SentinelCulture wars: In case you haven’t noticed yet, there is nothing “normal” about Donald J. Trump’s presidency. Having said that, there is nothing normal about the manner in which it’s covered by the disgustingly dishonest establishment media.

Both of these truths would help explain the media’s near-daily freak-out over something Trump has done or said, and yesterday was no different.

In what is being portrayed by the Washington press as a “reversal” of his position on Monday, Trump really only clarified his initial response to the Charlottesville violence on Tuesday when he said — again — that both sides were responsible.

Then he used a term to describe the other side that those of us in the indy media have been using for months now: Trump called Charlottesville counter-protesters part of the “Alt-Left.”

Yes, that’s right — cue the media outrage!

As Reuters reported:

In a combative news conference, Trump backed off from his Monday statements explicitly denouncing the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis and white supremacists for the violence that erupted at a “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, and reverted to his weekend contention that “many sides” were to blame.

“You had a group on one side that was bad,” Trump said on Tuesday. “And you had a group on the other side that was also very violent. And nobody wants to say that. But I’ll say it right now.”

Trump later said, “I think there is blame on both sides and I have no doubt about it,” adding that there were “very fine people” on both sides.

At the weekend rally against the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee, commander of the pro-slavery Confederate army during the U.S. Civil War, many participants were seen carrying firearms, sticks, shields, and lit torches. Some wore helmets.

Counter-protesters came equipped with sticks, helmets and shields.

See? The same.

Of course, the RINOs were out in force and the establishment media was sure to quote them instead of folks who agreed with the president. They were led by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romey, two-time failed GOP presidential contender, who responded on Twitter: “No, not the same. One side is racist, bigoted, Nazi. The other opposes racism and bigotry. Morally different universes.”

Really? Does Mitt know something the president doesn’t? Does he know every pro-monument rally participant was a white nationalist bigot?

And what about the other side — is it morally acceptable to show up at a First Amendment event with the specific objective of attacking those you disagree with? Massachusetts is about as far-Left on the political spectrum as it gets, but last time we checked it was still part of the United States and thus subject to all provisions in the U.S. Constitution.

How do we know the Alt-Left showed up to do battle? Well, because Reuters told us so — “…Counter-protesters came equipped with sticks, helmets and shields.”

The fact is, our founders wrote the First Amendment precisely to protect the kind of speech used by white bigots — and black bigots, and Hispanic bigots, and so on. They didn’t include qualifiers in the First Amendment to protect only “popular speech” or “speech the mainstream of America finds acceptable.”

It protects all speech.

Therefore, Trump is exactly right to place blame on both the Alt-Right and the Alt-Left for purposely creating a climate of violence that led to loss of life and scores of injuries. Politicians on both sides of the aisle who are attacking the president while siding with the most dishonest party in all of this — the establishment media — needlessly inflame passions and further misrepresent both the specific situation and our constitutional order.

It wasn’t just RINOs chirping away at Trump. You just know that former President Obama had to chime in, and he did. Mr. Race Baiter-in-Chief himself tweeted, “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.”

That’s right, Mr. President, they’re not.

They’re taught to hate.

By people like you.

In the coming weeks the dishonest media will likely publish a series of fake polls and news stories all claiming how Trump’s base of support is tanking because of his comments about the Charlottesville violence; don’t believe them.

Rational Americans know he’s right. They see the truth.

They also know the media and Washington’s Deep State are out to destroy him. They know that while bigotry and racism are bad, the Alt-Left has been violently attacking Trump supporters for months, without a peep from the same fools condemning the president’s refreshing honesty.

We help them accomplish their mission of derailing Trump by believing their bullshit.
