(National Sentinel) Free Speech: Donald J. Trump has become our country’s first “Twitter” president, using the social platform as an unfiltered medium to bypass the lying “mainstream” media so he can speak directly to the American people.
And one American who has served her country and should understand its bedrock constitutional principles better than most wants to shut the president down.
Former CIA agent Valerie Plame has launched an effort to raise $1 billion to buy Twitter for the express purpose of kicking Trump off. But she’s not having much success. Her GoFundMe page has only raised about $63,000.
“Donald Trump has done a lot of horrible things on Twitter. From emboldening white supremacists to promoting violence against journalists, his tweets damage the country and put people in harm’s way. But threatening actual nuclear war with North Korea takes it to a dangerous new level,” the page claims.
“It’s time to shut him down. The bad news is Twitter has ignored growing calls to enforce their own community standards and delete Trump’s account. The good news is we can make that decision for them.”
First of all, charges of racism and bigotry against Republicans, conservatives and Trump are as common as stretch marks on Michael Moore’s bloated body, so nothing new there. Disagree with a conservative? Call him a ‘racist bigot!’
But the attempt to raise a billion dollars — which could go a long way towards, say, funding a slew of homeless shelters for an entire year — just to deny an American citizen his First Amendment right speaks volumes about the totalitarian mindset of the Left.
And yet Trump is regularly accused of being an authoritarian, despite the fact that under our constitutional system he can’t be.
Plame’s “ridiculous attempt to shut down [Trump’s] first amendment is the only clear violation and expression of hate and intolerance in this equation,” says White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee-Sanders.
Spot on, Sarah, spot on.
The Left’s rancid hatred of this president is both unhinged and unprecedented, and it’s what drives nonsensical lunacy like this.
