(National Sentinel) Deep State: Special Counsel Robert Mueller, originally appointed by the Justice Department to find out whether Team Trump “colluded” with Russia to “steal the election” from Hillary Clinton, has long since abandoned that in favor of digging up whatever dirt he can find on anyone even remotely tied to last year’s campaign.
As reported by Breitbart News, Mueller — friend of the Deep State and long-time pal of fired FBI Director James Comey, he who likely broke his own agency’s rules and the law to ensure Mueller would be appointed to harass President Trump and his administration — has reportedly told the White House that he intends to interview six current and former top staffers:
Former Press Secretary Sean Spicer, former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, and Communications Director Hope Hicks are all on Mueller’s list, the Washington Post reported Friday.
Mueller also reportedly intends to question White House counsel Don McGahn and one of his deputies, as well as Josh Raffel — a spokesman whom the Post describes as working closely with Senior Adviser Jared Kushner.
Mueller is believed to be interested in particular in discussions relating to the decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey and the alleged inaction over warnings about former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s dealings with Russia. Flynn eventually resigned after it was revealed he misled Vice President Mike Pence about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the U.S.
Mueller is also said to be interested in more details surrounding Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting at Trump Tower last year with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya. Shortly after news of the meeting was leaked to the press, Trump Jr. released this statement:
It was a short introductory meeting. I asked Jared and Paul to stop by. We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at the time and there was no follow up.
After that, it was also revealed that he took the meeting because Veselnitskaya promised Russian-government-supplied dirt on Clinton, but that never materialized and Trump Jr., along with other parties in the meeting — Paul Manafort, one-time campaign manager, and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law — realized very early on she had nothing and was only interested in lobbying for the reversal of a U.S. law signed by Obama and opposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The point is, after more than a year’s worth of investigations by the FBI and Congress, there is still no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, and if nothing’s been found by now, nothing’s going to be found.
So why is Mueller still investigating? What’s he really looking for?
