Don’t look now, but suddenly it’s ‘racially insensitive’ to bring a watermelon to work

Black sensitivities now essentially guide law and policy in large portions of the country

(National SentinelRacist Fruit: Race relations in America have become so inflammatory and so — stupid — that now you can actually be fired for bringing a watermelon to work because (wait for it) it’s allegedly racially insensitive to black people.

As reported by Breitbart News, a probationary firefighter who had yet to even start his new job was fired by idiots in Detroit after he decided to partake in a tradition and bring in a gift to fellow firefighters in his new station house. His gift? Not doughnuts or the usual fare, but a gift-wrapped watermelon:

Some black firefighters were reportedly offended by Pattison’s gesture since 90 percent of the firefighters at Engine 55 are black.

“When you get your first detail at a firehouse you pretty much know what you are getting yourself into,” said Patrick Trout. “So you would have to say it was probably a bad call.”

McCarty said that some people at the firehouse claim it is “racially insensitive” to bring a watermelon to a firehouse.

Pattison argued that he did not bring in the watermelon as a joke and had no intention of offending his colleagues.

But again, because we’ve gotten to the point of stupid in this country when it comes to matters of race, Pattison was let go.

“There is zero tolerance for discriminatory behavior inside the Detroit Fire Department,” said lead idiot Fire Commissioner Eric Jones, in a statement. “On Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Engine 55, a trial firefighter (probationary employee) engaged in unsatisfactory work behavior which was deemed offensive and racially insensitive to members of the Detroit Fire Department. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the best course of action was to terminate the employment of this probationary employee.”

Black sensitivities now essentially guide law and policy in large portions of the country. Just by choosing to be offended, black firefighters have cost this man — who meant no offense to anyone — a  job where he had been trained to help people and make his community a safer place for everyone.

Over a watermelon.

What a waste.

For decades blacks fought to be included as regular members of society — a status finally achieved, although it should have come much sooner. Now, they seek self-segregation as they attack every one of our traditions, labeling them as biased and examples of “white privilege” while they further wall themselves off from every aspect of American culture.

I have a simple question for black people: If America sucks so badly, why do you stay here? I mean, seriously, if you’re going to chose to be offended by a piece of fruit, there is no reconciling that. So why stay in a country that produces such racist fruit?
