(National Sentinel) Antifail: So-called anti-fascist organization Antifa planned protests in scores of major cities on Saturday, but turnout for most of them was extremely low.
The loose-knit organization, founded by Revolutionary Communist Party chairman Bob Avakian, took out a full-page ad in the New York Times to promote the rally. In addition, the group received no small amount of free press in the days leading up to the protests.
That said, turnout at the protests was far less than the 1 million people the group anticipated.
The one exception appears to have been L.A, where local news reported that close to 2,000 protesters gathered. There were also several hundred people who showed up to protest in President Donald J. Trump’s hometown of New York City.
Antifa is especially strong in far-Left Seattle, but some who attended just to see what kind of crowd the protest would draw reported that at its peak only about 50 persons showed up.
Many protest signs were seen lying on the ground, untouched and unused, Breitbart News reported.
