GOP Rep. Gaetz: ‘Unaccountable special prosecutor putting U.S. at risk of coup d’etat’

“We need more members of Congress to speak out about the erosion of rule of law that will happen if we allow Mueller to continue”

(National SentinelThe Swamp: Outspoken conservative Rep. Matt Gaetz says that the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel to look into alleged Russian collusion with the Trump campaign is a threat to a duly-elected administration and the American system of government.

“We’re at a real risk, Andrew, of a coup d’etat in this country if we allow an unaccountable special prosecutor with clear conflicts of interest to spend more than a year undermining the duly elected President of the United States. It’s ludicrous,” the Florida Republican told Breitbart Radio.

Gaetz was likely referencing recent reports noting that when Mueller served as FBI director in 2009, the bureau became aware of corruption between Russian and American officials involved in the sale of Uranium One, a Canadian firm with uranium holdings in the United States.

The Obama administration eventually approved the deal, which transferred control of 20 percent of all American-held uranium, a strategic asset, to the Russian government. Mueller and the FBI at the time did not notify Congress.

Then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was part of a government panel that approved the sale. As the deal progressed some $145 million flowed to her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and their family foundation, from parties interested in seeing the deal approved.

“That’s one of the reasons I have called for Mueller to be removed as the special counsel,” Gaetz continued. “As early as 2009, we knew that Russia was using bribery and extortion to undermine our uranium assets. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that just about that time, you’ve got hundreds of thousands of dollars going to Bill Clinton, and you’ve got Hillary Clinton at the State Department not saying peep as we put our national security at risk.”

“If Bob Mueller was really doing his job over there at the FBI, we would have had this information before the Congress and the American people, and we would not have given Russia this foothold in our uranium profile here in the United States,” he alleged. “I think Mueller has got to go.”

Further, he noted that the Trump Justice Department should be looking into the uranium deal, as well as all parties involved, as well as possible corruption against Team Trump during last year’s presidential campaign.

“We’ve also called on a special counsel to investigate the Uranium One deal and the Fusion GPS dossier,” Gaetz said. “It’s important for the American people to know the current folks over at the Justice Department cannot possibly investigate Fusion GPS and Uranium One, these two massive scandals of Russians working with the Democrats, because too many people over there at the FBI may be involved – may be, either through their acts or through their omissions, culpable for some of this conduct.

“We need more members of Congress to speak out about the erosion of rule of law that will happen if we allow Mueller to continue,” he added.

I agree totally with Rep. Gaetz! He understands what is going on. Trump will do nothing in draining the swamp. Constitutional and repreentative givernment as we know it is being destroyed right before our eyes. It is the goal of the Globalists to destroy the republican party. That, of course, will simplify their final task
