(National Sentinel) Hollyweird: Actor Corey Feldman says he’s “praying for safety” after he revealed details to the Los Angeles Police Department of what he says is a well-known ring of pedophiles in Hollywood.
“It was brought to our attention. He filed a police report and we are investigating now,” a spokesman for the LAPD told Fox News on Wednesday.
In a series of tweets Wednesday, Feldman stated forcefully that he provided details to the LAPD, and he expressed hope that the police will finally get to the bottom of allegations he’s been making since the 1990s.
“IMPORTANT CAMPAIGN UPD8: I JUST COMPLETED A FORMAL SIT DOWN INTERVIEW W @LAPDHQ SPECIAL DIVISION, & GAVE THEM ALL THE INFO I KNOW!” Feldman revealed.
“THIS WAS OFFICIALLY THE 1ST FORMAL REPORT EVER TAKEN ON ANY OF MY CASES, AS SBPD NEVER FOLLOWED UP BACK IN 1993, & HAS NO RECORD OF MY COMPLAINTS,” he continued.
He added that he was praying he would be safe and asked supporters to do the same.
The actor was just three years old when he began his career in the film industry, as noted by IMDb. Most Americans know him for his roles in a series of blockbusters released the 1980s, including “Gremlins,” “The Goonies,” and “Stand by Me.”
However, he says that he and fellow actor Corey Heim were regularly preyed upon by entertainment industry types as children.
Haim died unexpectedly from pneumonia in 2010, however. He was best known for roles in “The Lost Boys,” “License to Drive,” and “Dream a Little Dream.”
In an appearance on “Dr. Oz” last week, Feldman said that his former assistant, Jon Grissom, molested him in the 1980s. He added that Grissom still has pictures of him and Haim on his MySpace and Facebook pages, and that he “still flaunts” them.
“I believe we can… bring down potentially a pedophile ring that I have been aware of since I was a child. Right off the bat I can name six names,” he said in a video promoting the film, Fox News reported.
Feldman said earlier this week that he would be releasing names of alleged pedophiles in Hollywood following allegations that fellow actor Kevin Spacey molested a 14-year-old boy as an adult some years ago, NewsTarget reported.
Appearing last week on NBC’s “Today” show, Feldman, in an interview with host Matt Lauer, said he has already gone to the police but feels like more needs to be done.
“Why are you talking to me? Why aren’t you talking to the police right now?” the host asked.
“I told the police. In fact, if anyone wants to go back to 1993, when I was interviewed by the Santa Barbara Police Department, I sat there and gave them the names,” Feldman responded. “They are on record. They have all of this information, but they were scanning Michael Jackson. All they cared about was trying about to find something on Michael Jackson.”
