(National Sentinel) Inappropriate: Former Secret Service agent and leading conservative voice Dan Bongino called out former Obama national security official Ben Rhodes after he posted what many viewed as a ‘death wish’ for top Republican lawmakers.
Rhodes commented on Twitter about a photograph featuring President Donald J. Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Speaker Paul Ryan in the Oval Office after the president signed into law the Republican tax reform legislation.
The photo was posted to Trump’s Instagram account:
The photo was reposted by fellow Obama admin alum Dan Pfeiffer, who wrote, “I hope this is the photo they use on the front page of the [New York] Times on the day Trump is indicted.”
Rhodes replied, “And alongside the obits for Ryan, McConnell, and Pence.”
His response drew an immediate rebuke from House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., who was shot and nearly killed early last summer by a crazed supporter of self-avowed socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
“You may want to reconsider your rhetoric,” he wrote.
Rhodes’ reply also angered Bongino.
“This guy is a violent psychopath who puts every Secret Service agent and federal protection officer in danger with his violent rhetoric. This man is a disgrace to the country, his family, his friends, and anyone else claiming his sorry soul. An embarrassment in every respect,” he tweeted.
“Bongino is correct. Liberals are violent psychopaths. They are a danger to our freedoms. Ben Rhodes should get a visit from the Secret Service,” The Gateway Pundit noted in a commentary.
