(National Sentinel) Justice Delayed: An expert in charities fraud says he believes that former President Bill Clinton and former first lady and secretary of state Hillary Clinton will finally be held legally liable for a series of crimes involving their charity, the Clinton Foundation.
As reported by Lifezette, former New York Investment banker-turned-charities fraud investigator Charles Ortel noted that the recent conviction of former Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown of Florida for taking part in charities fraud totaling around $800,000 highlights the disparate justice system when it comes to people of influence.
Ortel said that figure was paltry compared to the amount of alleged fraud involving the Clinton Foundation, which began as Bill Clinton’s presidential library in 1997 and which has taken in some $2 billion from donors including foreign governments.
The investigator who predicted the 2008 Great Recession and who uncovered massive accounting corruption involving General Electric and other major corporations in the early 2000s told LifeZette Sunday he expects fired FBI Director James “Comey will rat out Hillary and the Clintons faster than [Olympic sprinter] Usain Bolt runs the 100-meter dash. Both Clintons will be convicted, bigly” in 2018.
Ortel has exhaustively investigated the Clinton Foundation. He says he believes that the former president and secretary of state used it to sell influence to foreign governments on the premise that Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald J. Trump in the November 2016 election.
“To informed analysts, the Clinton Foundation appears to be a rogue charity that has neither been organized nor operated lawfully from inception in October 1997 to date–as you will grow to realize, it is a case study in international charity fraud, of mammoth proportions,” he wrote in his analysis of the organization.
“In particular, the Clinton Foundation has never been validly authorized to pursue tax-exempt purposes other than as a presidential archive and research facility based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Moreover, its operations have never been controlled by independent trustees and its financial results have never been properly audited by independent accountants,” the analysis continued.
Lifezette noted further that, according to Ortel, a major French government investigation has been in progress for months, and a similar probe is shaping up in Sweden. The foundation has received millions of dollars from both governments and from private entities in those countries, he said.
The news site noted further that on at least two occasions the Clintons and their foundation have gotten a pass from the Justice Department over allegations of impropriety.
The foundation was investigated in the mid-2000s during the George W. Bush administration by then-FBI Director Robert Mueller, who is now acting as special counsel investigating alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, which isn’t even a crime. His deputy at the time was Comey.
Also, Hillary Clinton has so far managed to escape responsibility for mishandling classified information; Comey exonerated her in July 2016 when he said “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring a case against her, despite what critics say was obvious criminal negligence regarding top secret data.
The Clinton email scandal made news again last week, as legal watchdog group Judicial Watch announced that a handful of additional classified emails had been found on the laptop of former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of top Hillary aide Huma Abedin.
“The fact that classified information has been found from Clinton and Abedin on Weiner’s laptop shows the urgent need for a criminal investigation by the Justice Department,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
