(National Sentinel) Sadistic: White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders could barely contain herself on Wednesday when responding to a reporter who seemed to be blaming a horrific school shooting in Kentucky the day before on President Donald J. Trump.
The shooting left two dead and seventeen injured at a Kentucky High School, and the shooter’s motive is still unknown.
The question about school shootings was Sanders’ final of the day.
NBC’s Peter Alexander, asked “What has the president done since October to prevent any of the shootings from taking place?”
“The president believes that all Americans deserve to be safe in their schools and in their communities,” adding, “we’ve tried to crack down on crime throughout the country.”
However, the conversation turned hot when Alexander ultimately asked Sanders, “What is the president specifically doing to prevent shootings?”
Continuing, he demanded, “Will the president come forward before the nation and tell people how he feels and use the bully pulpit?”
Sanders cut him off.
Raising her voice in disbelief, asking if the reporter was implying that Trump was “complicit” in the school shooting.
“The fact that you’re basically accusing the president of being complicit in a school shooting is outrageous!” she said.
After Alexander tried to clarify, Sanders made this point: “The president has been very clear in instructing the top law enforcement agency to crack down on crime to prevent these types of things,” before walking away from the podium.
