(National Sentinel) Real Deal: President Donald J. Trump regularly triggers the always-angry American Pravda media simply by waking up every morning and taking his first breath.
But sometimes he really triggers them with comments he makes — like he did again this week when he said he would have rushed in, unarmed, to intervene in the Parkland, Fla., school shooting last week.
“I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon,” the president told a group of governors who had gathered at the White House to discuss the most recent shooting.
His claim came, in part, as criticism of local sheriff’s deputies and an armed school resource officer, Scot Peterson — also a deputy — who failed to enter the school and confront alleged mass murderer Nikolas Cruz as he was killing 17 people — a refusal to act that Trump characterized as, “frankly, disgusting.”
“The way they performed was really a disgrace,” he said of the officers who “choked” in the face of danger.
The president has been roundly criticized and mocked since, as you can imagine, by the same media that a) got Hillary’s election victory wrong; and b) has harangued him and his administration with fake news for a year.
Does he deserve the mocking criticism?
As first reported by Rush Limbaugh, The Donald has been a hero before. In 1991 the New York Daily News, which has been one of Trump’s biggest critics since he was elected, reported that Trump leaped from his “stretch limo” to confront a mugger who was robbing someone and physically assaulting them.
“When he saw ‘a big guy with a big bat’ bashing another fellow, Donald Trump did what any self-respecting billionaire would do: He ordered his driver to pull over,” the paper reported.
“I’m not looking to play this thing up,” The Donald told the Daily News. “I’m surprised you found out about it.”
And look…he didn’t even brag about it.
Witnesses reported that indeed Trump yelled at the mugger to put the bat down and that he eventually complied.
The point is, the hysterical Pravda media is so reflexively anti-Trump that no matter what he says they attack first and ask questions later, if at all.
Which explains why the “mainstream” media has been so galactically wrong about our 45th president.
Would Trump have actually entered the Parkland, Fla., school to confront an armed assassin without a weapon of his own?
We may never know.
But the fact is, it’s obvious the man is no coward. There’s a record of it.
As for the media propagandists attacking and mocking him, it’d be interesting to know how many of them have risked life and/or limb to do the same thing our president has done.
I’m betting the number is pretty small.
