(National Sentinel) Alt-Left: A new survey has found that most Americans are not blaming the availability of guns for the most recent shooting at a Parkland, Fla., school, but rather the failure of government entities.
The survey, conducted by Rasmussen Reports, found that 54 percent of respondents blamed lack of government action compared to 33 percent who a lack of more gun control was responsible. Eleven percent blamed “something else.”
Rasmussen asked, “Which is more to blame for the mass shooting at the Florida high school? The failure of government agencies to respond to numerous warning signs? The lack of adequate gun control?”
“Ninety percent (90%) of all Americans say they have been following news reports about the Florida killings at least somewhat closely, with 53% who have been following Very Closely,” Rasmussen reported.
On Feb. 14, Nikolas Cruz allegedly walked into the Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida, and killed 17 people, most of them students.
Local law enforcement agencies were well aware of Cruz as a threat. Also, the FBI was tipped off twice about Cruz’s propensity for violence and his desire to become a “professional school shooter.”
