U.S. magazine editors who fawned over Michelle Obama are now ignoring first lady Melania, a former model

(National SentinelNo Love: For all of President Barack Obama’s eight years, then-first lady Michelle Obama was a regular on the cover of U.S. magazines.

Nearly every genre — from fashion to fitness to news — Michelle Obama was regularly feted and regularly praised.

In fact, as the New York Post, reports, Michelle appeared on at least 30 U.S. magazine covers from 2009 to 2017.

There was a rumor that current first lady Melania Trump, however, might have been set to feature — alongside her presidential husband, Donald J. Trump — on a Vogue cover, the fashion industry bible, after its editor, Anna Wintour (a major Obama supporter and donor) visited Trump Tower in December 2016.

It never happened.

In fact, as the Post reported, the photogenic Melania has only appeared on one magazine cover since her husband took office — Vanity Fair Mexico — in February 2017. And even that appearance was controversial due to Trump’s insistence that Mexico pay for his border wall.

This dearth of coverage and obvious double standard was highlighted in a viral tweet from actor James Woods last week.

“If the Trumps were Democrats, Melania would be on every cover of every chic women’s magazine in the world every month,” he tweeted, along with an old photo of the first lady sitting in a gilded chair in a pale blue strapless dress.

During Obama’s two-term, eight-year stint in office, Michelle appeared on the cover of Vogue three times. She also appeared twice on the covers of Essence magazine, Time magazine, More magazine and Glamour magazine. Other covers included Redbook, InStyle, and Radar, the Post reported.

  1. Melania is eye therapy. I love seeing photos of her, regardless of what she’s wearing. She’s a model for women, in every sense of the word, transcending political views. I wish more publishers would recognize this and actually serve their readership rather than serving the globalist elites.

  2. Fawning over and causing quite a stir over a woman of whom is most clearly butt-ugly, after treating a lovely and gracious woman, Nancy Reagan like dirt is how the left rolls. How such phony baloney, plastic bananas continue to hold sway is anybody’s best guess. If these reprobates have but one redeeming quality, then they have been manifestly successful in keeping it cleverly concealed.
