Trump threatens Montana senator who tanked Dr. Jackson’s VA nomination as Obama the ‘petty’ remains silent

(National SentinelTwo Presidents: Speaking in Michigan as he skipped the White House Correspondent’s Dinner for the second year in a row, President Donald J. Trump laid down a gauntlet for Sen. Jon Tester, D-Montana, the man responsible for tanking the president’s choice to run the VA.

“Tester started throwing out things that he’s heard. Well, I know things about Tester that I could say, too,” Trump threatened at a rally in Washington Township. “And if I said them, he’d never be elected again.”

The threat came after a tumultuous week that saw White House physician and Navy Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson smeared by Tester as the VA nominee appeared before his Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.

Tester alleged during hearings that Jackson would repeatedly drink heavily while traveling with former President Obama, whom he served for eight years before becoming White House physician for Trump.

Without sources or attribution, CNN reported earlier this week that during an overseas trip in 2015 Jackson got drunk and belligerently banged on a female colleague’s hotel door. CNN also reported the Secret Service stopped Jackson and that agents were worried he might wake up Obama.

On Friday the Secret Service denied that.

“Over the last 48 hours, media outlets have alleged that U.S. Secret Service personnel were forced to intervene during a Presidential foreign travel assignment in order to prevent disturbing (former) President Barack Obama,” the Secret Service said in a statement. “The Secret Service has no such record of any incident; specifically, any incident involving Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson.”

The tanking incensed the president, who called Tester’s slandering “a disgrace.” Trump has also said the people of Montana would not put up with Tester’s behavior. He is up for reelection in November.

Many people were wondering why Obama had remained silent all week as his former physician was being attacked.

Rebel TV host John Cardillo noted that Trump’s vocal defense of Jackson and Obama’s silence tells people all they need to know about the character of each man.

“The best insight into Obama’s petty character is the fact that Dr. #RonnyJackson cared for the Obama family for eight years and received rave reviews, but when his name was smeared by Dems, Obama was dead silent,” he tweeted.

Added The Gateway Pundit‘s Joe Hoft, “This latest episode shows Presidents Obama and Trump are polar opposites. One is a politician who acts based on political consequences with no regard for the people he thinks serve him. The other is an honorable man who acts based on what is right and sees his role as serving the people. The latter always trumps the first.”
