(National Sentinel) Anti-Semitism: In 2014 when reports surfaced that President Obama was secretly negotiating a “nuclear deal” with Iran, a few Democrats managed to do the right thing and condemn it.
“Iran will not change,” Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer of New York said at the time. “And under this agreement, it will be able to achieve its dual goals of eliminating sanctions while ultimately retaining its nuclear and non-nuclear power.”
Former Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., once a Democrat, remarked that “there is much more risk for America and reward for Iran than should be in this agreement.”
As further reported by Newsmax:
Perhaps the sharpest Democratic criticism came from Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J.
“The deal doesn’t end Iran’s nuclear program,” he declared. “It preserves it.”
Several Democratic members of the House spoke out against the deal. Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., for example, warned it “may in fact strengthen Iran’s position as a destabilizing and destructive influence across the Middle East.”
Reps. Steve Israel, D-N.Y., and Brad Sherman, D-Calif., also expressed skepticism and disappointment.
And, of course, many of these ‘concerned’ Democrats were attempting to appease Jewish voters in their districts. How would it look for Jewish-backing Democrats to approve of an arrangement that would eventually lead to a nuclear-armed archenemy of Israel?
That was then.
Now that Donald J. Trump is president, Democrats would rather channel Hitler’s Nazi party than ‘do the right thing’ and support his decision to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to the Israeli capital of Jerusalem.
We can tell they’d rather channel Nazis because not a single Democrat made the trip to Israel for the U.S. Embassy grand opening.
Lieberman went, but again, he’s a former senator and former Democrat.
As Breitbart News reported:
Four U.S. Senators addressed members of the press at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem on Monday morning, hours before the official relocation of the U.S. embassy — and all four were Republicans.
Sen. Graham said that no one, Republican or Democrat, had been specifically invited to the ceremony — they simply chose to come or they did not. And he noted that only Republicans had come of their own volition.
The absence of the American Communist Party was noticed. A pair of Israeli journalists asked the GOP senators why none of their Democratic colleagues had made the trip for this truly historic event.
“That is a sad, sad manifestation — I wish we had every member of Congress here … every member of Congress had the option before them to come,” Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Trump’s strongest 2016 opponent, said.
“It’s not for me to tell you what that says,” Graham said. “It hurts me.”
He added that the dearth of Democrats gives the impression that Americans are divided in their support for Israel.
“There’s too much going on in this region to send mixed signals,” Graham said.
Mind you, had previous presidents — especially President Obama — had done this instead of Trump, Democrats would have left their Brown Shirts at home and would have willingly made the trip to Israel.
As reported by Grabien:
In moving America’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, President Trump just delivered on a promise made by Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton.
All four promised as candidates to move the embassy to Jerusalem, but none other than Trump brought the issue to the fore after being elected presidents.
Running in 2008, Barack Obama also promised to move the embassy.
“I continue to say that Jerusalem will be the capital of Israel, and I have said that before, and I will say it again,” Obama said. “And Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided.”
