(National Sentinel) Distorted: Once upon a time you could tell the difference between the tabloid media which published stories about how some of our elected leaders are aliens and Elvis Presley still being alive and working at a car wash and the real-life media that reported the real-life news.
Today the “mainstream media” is little more than a propaganda organ for the Democratic Left whose mission is to oppose President Donald J. Trump, period, even if they have to invent ‘news.’
Or presidential statements.
On Wednesday the president was hosting an event at the White House focused on how to combat local “sanctuary city” laws, which protect people in the country illegally to the detriment of American citizens, many of whom are injured, raped, or killed by criminal aliens.
A lot of those crimes are committed by the ultra-violent MS-13 gang, long known to federal authorities as a ruthless organization that serves, in large part, as a distributor and enforcer for Mexican drug cartels.
During the White House event, Trump called those gang members “animals,” which of course is exactly correct.
Right on cue the disgustingly dishonest Pravda media purposefully misquoted the president and took his words out of context so they could spew more hate while created more division in the country.
In reporting the president’s comments, most “mainstream media” outlets left out the fact that when he called illegal immigrants “animals” we was talking about MS-13.
NBC News‘ Andrea Mitchell was typical.
“A tough take down by the California governor after @realDonaldTrump calls people trying to get into the country ‘animals’ not people,” she tweeted.

The purposeful mischaracterization drew a rebuke from Trump’s son, Don Jr.
“He was specifically talking about MS-13, and you know it. They are animals. I know you would rather side with them than Trump as you so often make clear but it’s a bad look for you Andrea,” he tweeted in response.

Not all of the Pravda media was dishonest. CBS News got the context right, even if the network’s headline was misleading:
The president also called some illegal immigrants not human, but “animals,” after Fresno’s mayor expressed the difficulty in capturing and punishing illegal immigrants accused of crimes, such as members of the MS-13 gang.
“We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country,” Mr. Trump said. ” You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals. And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out. It’s crazy.”
That’s considerably different than, “The president called illegal aliens animals!” — but of course, lying and fake news serve the singular purpose of ‘opposing Trump,’ even at the cost of what’s left of the media’s credibility.
