TROUBLE: Prosecutors SERIOUSLY considering charging fired FBI official Andrew McCabe

(National SentinelClosing In: In March top-rated cable host Sean Hannity dropped a bomb when he told his Fox News audience that criminal charges were coming for fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

“If I had to…suspect you are going to see criminal charges against Andrew McCabe. And I would also argue that it’s going to go a lot deeper,” Hannity said.

Then the following month, reports surfaced that Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz had recommended criminal charges against McCabe for serial lies to FBI investigators.

CNN‘s Pamela Browne was the first to report the news, according to a tweet sent by a colleague, Laura Jarrett.

“The Justice Dept’s Inspector General sent a criminal referral regarding Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to the US attorney office in DC @PamelaBrownCNN reports acccording to source familiar; spox for McCabe, DOJ and US atty not commenting,” Jarrett tweeted.

Now, The Washington Post is reporting that charges against McCabe are very likely coming down the pipe:

Investigators from the District of Columbia U.S. Attorney’s Office recently interviewed former FBI director James Comey as part of a probe into whether his deputy, Andrew McCabe, broke the law by lying to federal agents – an indication the office is seriously considering whether McCabe should be charged with a crime, a person familiar with the matter said.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz accused McCabe in April of misleading investigators and Comey four times – three of them under oath – about authorizing a disclosure to the media. Horowitz referred the findings to the District’s U.S. Attorney’s Office to determine whether criminal charges were warranted.

Lying to federal investigators can carry a five-year prison sentence, though McCabe disputes that he intentionally misled anyone….

McCabe and Comey are at odds over the inspector general’s findings. McCabe asserts that Comey knew he authorized the media disclosure, and Comey claims otherwise. Comey has said he “could well be a witness” against McCabe if McCabe were ever charged and tried.

McCabe also is somewhat at odds with Justice Department leaders.

The Trump-hating Post reported this so you know that had to hurt.

But the fact is, there are so many names — so many figures within Obama’s politicized FBI and DoJ — who seemed willing to do anything to subvert POTUS Trump many of them may even have stepped over legal lines.

McCabe may just be the first to fall.
