(National Sentinel) Across the Bow: Former No. 2 FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok has long since been identified as an anti-Trump agent.
We’ve known for more than a year he and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, his paramour, were actively plotting with others to keep POTUS Trump from either taking office or driving him from the White House.
And yet, inexplicably, he’s remained on the job — albeit in a demoted position in “human resources” — for months.
That all changed on Tuesday.
Strzok wasn’t perp-walked out of the FBI like he probably should have been, but he was escorted out.
As reported by The Washington Times:
Anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok was escorted out of the bureau’s headquarters Friday, one day after an explosive report by the Justice Department inspector said his behavior had hurt the venerable law agency’s reputation for fairness.
But Mr. Strzok still appears to be an FBI employee as of Tuesday, according to CNN, which first reported the story.
An FBI spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment from The Washington Times. But Mr. Strzok’s attorney, Aitan Goelman told CNN his client “remains a proud FBI agent.”
Mr. Goelman confirmed in a statement that his client “was escorted from the building” during the ongoing disciplinary process, which he said was being buffaloed by politicians.
We expect an attorney to…be an attorney. It’s pretty obvious that Strzok has a lot to answer for.
And he’s going to get that ‘opportunity.’
Within hours of being walked out of the FBI, House Judiciary Committee chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., announced that a “subpoena is coming” for the disgraced agent.
Appearing with House Oversight Committee chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., Goodlatte told Fox News that his committee and others are going to get Strzok to appear one way or another.
“We want to have him [Strzok] before the Committee. He has now indicated that he would come voluntarily. He has not pinned himself down on when so we are imminently going to issue a subpoena to him to appear next week,” Goodlatte said.
“So a subpoena has been prepared but not been issued yet?” asked Fox News’ Sandra Smith.
“If [Peter Strzok is] going to appear voluntarily, his lawyer better contact us right away, because a subpoena is coming.”
Last week we discovered that Strzok sent Page a text stating “we’ll stop” Trump from becoming president.
The timing of the text is important. It came nine days after “Crossfire Hurricane” — the juvenile name of the “Spygate” operation — was launched and six days before his “insurance policy” text.
“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office…that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected…but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok text messaged to Page in an Aug. 15, 2016 exchange, referring to Andrew McCabe.
“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok added.
Strzok and the rest of his cohorts never really believed that Donald Trump could become president. They thought they could launch a bogus investigation against him and use the full resources of the federal government without any repercussions because ‘everybody just knew’ Queen Hillary was going to win.
She didn’t. And now the Deep State criminals are going to pay a price for their scheming.
