(National Sentinel) The Swamp: If you needed additional proof that the stinking, fetid swamp in the nation’s capital could be anymore pro-Marxist Democrat, this should do it.
Earlier this week Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was attempting to have a nice, quiet meal at a Mexican restaurant near the White House when she was accosted by a mob of “Democratic Socialists.”
Since the restaurant’s management wouldn’t do anything about the heckling mob, Nielsen — under protection from her security detail — was forced to exit the restaurant.
The mob was ‘protesting’ POTUS Trump’s zero-tolerance policy of arresting all adults who cross illegally into the U.S. DHS is responsible for seeing the policy enforced via the Border Patrol and ICE, which fall under Nielsen’s jurisdiction.
“If kids don’t eat in peace, you don’t eat in peace,” one protester was heard yelling.
“How can you enjoy a Mexican dinner as you’re deporting and imprisoning tens of thousands of people that come here seeking asylum in the United States?” another one shouted.
Now we find out that one of these jerks is an employee of the Justice Department.
As reported by the Washington Examiner:
DSA member Allison Hrabar, one of those who protested Nielsen on Tuesday, said that after intense coverage of suspected illegal immigrants being separated from their children, “it feels really good to confront people who are actually responsible, which is what we have a unique opportunity to do in D.C.”
Hrabar works at the Justice Department as a paralegal specialist, and said her activism was not part of her official work. She said she was exercising her First Amendment rights off the clock.
“If you see these people in public, you should remind them that they shouldn’t have peace,” she said. “We aren’t the only ones who can do this. Anyone who sees Kirstjen Nielsen at dinner, anyone who sees anyone who works at DHS and ICE at dinner can confront them like this, and that’s what we hope this will inspire people to do.”
Okay, well, harassing someone in public isn’t ‘exercising your First Amendment rights.’ It can be considered a criminal act.
Also, her behavior off-duty casts a negative reflection on the DoJ as a whole to many people, and at a time when the department is already under fire for being incredibly biased against the Trump administration.
Ms. Hrabar needs to be given a choice by managers at DoJ: Be an activist or be a Justice Department paralegal. You can’t be both if that activism targets the administration. Oh, and someone should remind her we live in a republic, not a socialist country, so her actions could even be considered seditious.
“First Amendment rights.” Is she kidding?
