(National Sentinel) Witch Hunt: Robert Mueller has been investigating alleged “collusion” between the 2016 Trump campaign and Mother Russia for nearly a year-and-a-half. Thus far, he’s come up with nothing.
He’s indicted several Russians who allegedly interfered in the election, but they are fighting back and their lawyers are now demanding to see the evidence Mueller’s corrupt team of Democrat-allied prosecutors supposedly have. Mueller is demurring and delaying because he didn’t think they’d show up to court.
He got former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn to admit to one count of lying to FBI agents, but he keeps delaying Flynn’s sentencing date as evidence mounts that the admission — and Mueller’s allegations — were BS all along and may have been tampered with by fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.
He got ancillary Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos to admit to one count of lying to FBI agents — after he was set up by the FBI to become an informant.
He’s indicted Paul Manafort, a one-time Trump campaign manager, but so far, nothing has been proven in court.
Same for one-time POTUS Trump personal lawyer Michael Cohen, whom current presidential attorney Rudy Giuliani has said should cooperate with Mueller because “we have no reason to believe he did anything wrong.”
But Mueller hasn’t found anything that POTUS Trump has done wrong. No evidence of “collusion” (which isn’t even illegal, by the way). No evidence of any malfeasance on the part of the president.
So why should he sit down for an interview with Mueller and his corrupt team of Democrat-supporting lawyers?
That’s what Rudy G. wants to know. Unless or until Mueller can cough up any evidence whatsoever that Trump committed a crime — which is supposed to be a mandate for naming a special prosecutor (thanks, Rod Rosenstein!) — there’s no way he’ll let POTUS Trump be set up by witch-hunting Mueller.
Per Fox News:
President Trump’s lawyers have told FBI Special Counsel Robert Mueller that they want him to produce evidence that Trump has committed a crime before they agree for the president to be interviewed as part of Mueller’s Russia investigation.
Rudy Giuliani, the top lawyer on the legal team, told Fox News on Saturday he is asking Mueller for a “factual basis for the investigation” before the team considers allowing Trump to be interviewed by Mueller’s team.
Trump and his team have become increasingly frustrated with how long Mueller’s probe is taking to complete, and Trump in particular has taken a more aggressive stance toward Mueller since the Department of Justice criticized the FBI’s actions in 2016 in relation to the Hillary Clinton email probe.
The new demands by Trump’s legal team indicate that it is likely to take a more aggressive and combative stance toward Mueller going forward.
Giuliani left open the possibility that POTUS Trump could still sit for an interview with Mueller, and the president has said repeatedly that he’d be willing to do that — because he’s done nothing wrong.
But that sounds more like tactics than anything else. They know Mueller and what kind of snake he is.
Rudy G. also said he doesn’t think Mueller would agree to those terms, which also indicates that he’s got nothing.
It’s time for this distracting witch hunt to end. But it won’t until right before the election when Mueller will likely produce a “damning report” making all sorts of allegations — without bringing any charges.
It’ll be done to affect the 2018 midterms.
It won’t work. The president’s supporters know that Democrats are the real enemy here, not his party. But that won’t stop the corrupt Deep State from trying one more time to unseat our duly-elected president.
