‘Drone Killer’ Obama gets ANOTHER peace prize award, but hey, it’s NOT political

(National SentinelBogus: Before President Barack Obama was in office for a year he was given a Nobel Peace Prize for literally doing nothing to advance the cause of world peace.

The prize was awarded in early October 2009 — just nine months after he was inaugurated, which means, given the advance time it takes for the prize committee to consider nominees, he was probably in office all of a month before they made their decision.

Their reasoning? Obama spoke well about potential world peace.

CBS News reported at the time:

President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee said, citing his outreach to the Muslim world and attempts to curb nuclear proliferation.

After only being in office for a few months, just how significant could his “outreach” and “attempts” really be?

Critics say the decision to award America’s first black president with the prestigious prize was entirely political, made by Left-wing ideologues who replaced accomplishment with campaign rhetoric.

Even one of the Nobel Prize leaders has admitted awarding Obama the prize was a mistake.

That was then. Now, it seems, Obama has gotten yet another peace prize.

And for exactly the same reason: Rhetoric over accomplishment.

As reported by The Daily Caller:

The former president was named a Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope laureate Monday. The award honors those who “work toward a more just and peaceful world.” The RFK nonprofit tweeted that it is “honored to present Barack Obama” with the award.

Obama responded that Kennedy was one of his heroes. “Bobby Kennedy was one of my heroes,” Obama said, “He was someone who showed us the power of acting on our ideals, the idea that any of us can be one of the “million different centers of energy and daring” that ultimately combine to change the world for the better.”

Three FREE ways you can help us stick around

Obama the “peace” president. That is, if you call leaving a power vacuum for ISIS to fill while destroying Libya and Syria “peace,” sure thing.

Oh, and let’s never forget President Peace was also responsible for launching more deadly drone strikes than even George W. Bush.

The DC noted further:

According to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, Obama killed nearly 1,000 civilians in more than 500 drone strikes during his presidency.

“There were ten times more air strikes in the covert war on terror during President Barack Obama’s presidency than under his predecessor, George W. Bush,” the Bureau report states.

“Obama embraced the US drone programme, overseeing more strikes in his first year than Bush carried out during his entire presidency. A total of 563 strikes, largely by drones, targeted Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen during Obama’s two terms, compared to 57 strikes under Bush. Between 384 and 807 civilians were killed in those countries, according to reports logged by the Bureau.”

But hey, both awards weren’t political, they were deserved.
