Because Sessions ‘never took over’ Justice Dept., Trump says he will ORDER docs be given to Congress

(National SentinelTaking Charge: It’s about time.

Shortly after POTUS Donald Trump was inaugurated, his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, foolishly recused himself from the “Russian collusion” investigation, leaving the Obama Deep State free to undermine the president at every turn.

Sessions’ recusal left Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein in charge of the bogus “Russia” probe, leaving him free to appoint Robert Mueller as special counsel despite the fact that no crime by the Trump campaign had been alleged and no intelligence pointed to Russian collusion.

Now, finally, after nearly two years of Justice Department undermining and stonewalling legitimate congressional and other investigative attempts to get to the bottom of a multitude of Obama-era scandals (Spygate being the biggest, and the FBI’s pathetic ‘investigation’ into Hillary’s mishandling of classified emails being another) POTUS Trump is prepared to bypass Sessions and order the DoJ to comply with all congressional requests for documents.

That revelation comes from Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt, who has just sat down for a lengthy interview with the president, Lifezette reported:

President Donald Trump blasted Attorney General Jeff Sessions and suggested in a “Fox & Friends” interview aired Thursday morning that he will intervene at some point in a long-running dispute between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and congressional Republicans.

Trump said Sessions (pictured above left) “never took control of the Justice Department” and thus allowed Democrats to subvert the rule of law.

The broadside against Sessions is only the latest in a remarkable public venting that Trump has engaged in since the attorney general followed the advice of DOJ ethics officials and recused himself from overseeing the Russia collusion investigation because of his role on Trump’s presidential election campaign.

Ethics officials who are also part of the Deep State.

“I wanted to stay uninvolved. But when everybody sees what’s going on in the Justice Department — I always put justice now with quotes — it’s a very, very sad day,” said POTUS.

“Jeff Sessions recused himself, which he shouldn’t have done. Or, he should have told me. Even my enemies said that, ‘Jeff Sessions should have told you that he was gonna recuse himself and then you wouldn’t have put him in.’”

The president’s statements come after a frustrating week following a guilty verdict involving his short-lived campaign manager, Paul Manafort, on old charges even Obama’s DoJ wouldn’t prosecute, and a guilty plea and plea deal by his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen, also for financial crimes.

None of those cases have anything at all to do with “Russian collusion.” What’s more, neither Cohen nor Manafort would be in hot water right now were it not for Rosenstein turning Mueller loose on Trump campaign officials (instead of going after Hillary Clinton and everyone else involved in defrauding the FISA court to get spy warrants).

“He was on the campaign,” POTUS said of Sessions. “He knows there was no collusion.”

Regarding Congress’ document requests — which are being stonewalled, redacted, and/or slow-walked by Rosenstein — POTUS said, “At the right time, I think I’m going to have to do the documents,” he said. “I didn’t want to. But I think I’m gonna have to. There’s such corruption.”

He also wondered why DoJ continues to ignore substantive national security crimes and violations by Clinton.

“And this Justice Department does nothing about it,” he said.

Lifezette noted further:

The same goes for Imran Awan, an information technology specialist working for House Democrats, Trump said. Awan avoided prison time after pleading guilty to making a false statement on a home equity line of credit application.

A House investigation concluded Awan was a security threat and had unauthorized access to classified information. But he never faced criminal charges related to that and a federal judge earlier this week freed Awan without imposing any significant penalties for his actions.

In fact, as we reported in June, Sessions refused to bring charges against Awan.

“I mean, he was worse than anybody, in my opinion. He got nothing. He’s a Democrat. He got nothing,” the president said. “The reason he got nothing is the Dems are very strong in the Justice Department. I put in an attorney general that never took control of the Justice Department, Jeff Sessions … It’s sort of an incredible thing.”

It’s past time for POTUS to bypass his AWOL attorney general. We have argued time and again that the Muller BS witch hunt has become so distractive for the president it’s a national security issue.

Sessions once claimed he did the right thing by recusing himself. We think the right thing for him to do now would be to resign.

31 Comments on Because Sessions ‘never took over’ Justice Dept., Trump says he will ORDER docs be given to Congress

  1. Just the act of thinking about taking damaging Hillary from the Russians is a crime in itself

  2. The Potus will wait until the most advantageous time to have these documents released in their entirety. The Dems, MSM, and Mueller are playing that game, the POTUS will trump their hand.

Sessions is playing the foil. Classic good-cop, bad-cop. We’ll see what Trump has up his sleeve.

Huber and Utah come to mind.

    • I see it. This President is about winning. I doubt he will allow them to gain the upper hand

    • Sessions is an incredible coward, betrayer and oath violator. Every indicator shows this. Sessions is blocking prosecution on various criminal referrals. His behavior is consistent whether it is within the confines of his illegitimate recusal or not.

  4. Did that angry Democrat Lanny Davis, throw Cohen under the bus, just to get at Trump?

  5. God bless President Trump and God bless America! Its about time!

POTUS needs another win so its time to unseal some of the 4,500 indictments Huber has tied up and get those people in jail. Would be a big boost for his base and him.

    • The DOJ is run by criminals trying to destroy Trump. Nothing happens until they are removed.

The fact Mueller is not waiting for mid term elections to do his damage means POTUS needs to move sioioner than later on the sealed indictments

The POTUS is long past the optimum time to release the documents that Rosenstein is slow-walking to protect his BFF’s Comey, Clinton and Mueller…among others.

Sezzzions is AWOL…and the DOJ is 83% Democrat. Trump better turn that around before the midterms or he’s SCREWED.

    • Trump must act. It has been the intention of the conspirators to force him to do so. I do not consider Sessions AWOL, the coward is hiding behind Rosenstein. When Sessions speaks, he gives full support to the conspirators, offers no reasoning, merely declares he is a loyal servant of Trump.

    1) Release the documents
    2) Call a prime time news conference and Trump should reveal the corruption to the American people
    3) Fire Sessions or ask for his resignation
    4) Put someone in to shut down the Witch Hunt

  10. Time to declassify everything Congress is asking for before the mid-terms Mr. President. Sessions should resign and worthy DOJ appointment made to bring an end to the evil politically motivated deep state/Obama/Clinton witch hunt against you.

  11. I used to feel sorry for sessions and thought President Trump should back off. As time has gone on sessions has no integrity, if he did he would resign. President Trump has been a one man army and is WINNING. Just think what he could do if he had foot solders.

  12. It’s ABOUT TIME! Sessions is less than a placeholder! Sadly, the POTUS didn’t mention replacing Sessions. If he never “took over” that means there’s a vacancy.

  13. President Trump should fire Session, he is a nothing burger.

  14. I’m wondering how come Sessions doesn’t realize he’s not wanted in the job and just resign. Is he really that dense?

    • No, he is a co-conspirator, dedicated to massive obstruction. He set up an obstruction and coup operation. His statements are always childish, tries to claim he is the victim. No honorable person would remain after Trump’s criticism. Sessions deserves maximum pressure, as he is about to take a big fall.

  15. How do you get the real perps when the left are allowed to destroy the evidence and have had 2 years to cover their behinds with the help of doj…fbi…cia and even rino’s. When will any of this come to light….a day or so AFTER the statute of limitations runs out??? Getting cynical at this point..

    • The article is terrific. the comments are terrific. You comments page is physically laid out poorly. It’s a distraction and counter productive and that’s a shame.

    • The left has many allies, such as Sessions and Ryan. It is republicans that have the power to stop this nonsense and fight for justice.

  16. He didn’t just Recuse himself from Russia, he is in Hiding. Time to just dump him.

  17. U S President Trump is absolutely right, again . . . Sessions ‘never took over’ Justice Dept.

  18. Ah Sessions, Greatly maligned. We shall see…

    • We have already seen, with numerous and consistent indicators.

The Q/CTH fiction does not fit real life.

How gullible republicans are. We have a speaker that is leftist and actively working against Trump. They want McCarthy to be Boehner #3. Sessions is another betrayer. Yet so many of you cling to false hope.
