(National Sentinel) Subversion: Sen. Lindsey Graham lashed out at the anonymous author of an inflammatory op-ed published by The New York Times on Wednesday in which the writer, a “senior White House official,” claimed that staff early on considered pushing POTUS Donald Trump out of office via the 25th Amendment.
“This person says that there was an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment,” Graham told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “And that’s BS. I know everybody in this administration. Can Trump be a handful? Yes.”
The South Carolina Republican noted further, “So the bottom line if this person says Trump is not serving the republic well. Where I live in South Carolina people are extremely pleased,” Graham added.
“He doesn’t adhere to conservative principles. Everyone I know in South Carolina likes the judges, likes the military, they like the tax cut and the deregulation and they like what he’s doing. So this person’s view of the president as he or she is serving is out of sync with the people who elected him.”
As for the letter, we think it represents active subversion of this president. Graham says POTUS Trump ought to ignore it. “Stay on track,” he said, The Daily Caller reported.
“Mr. President if you are watching here tonight, if I were you, I would ignore the article. I would ignore the book and tell the American people what I’ve done and what I’m going to do. You’ve got an incredible story for less than two years of being president and I think the best is yet to come,” said Graham.
“Just stay on track. You will not be affected by this book or this article. What you will be affected is by are the choices you make.”
“What you have done blows my mind,” Graham added. “Okay, we’ve been in this thing less than two years. We got two of the greatest picks of this generation for the Supreme Court. We have an economy that nobody dreamed of, we have a military … ”
As for the 25th Amendment ‘whispers?’ Graham again called BS.
“I would know that,” he said.
