Now that Paul Manafort has pleaded guilty, Mueller HAS to indict the Podesta brothers

(National SentinelTwo Systems: As news reports noted Friday, a former campaign manager for POTUS Donald Trump, Paul Manafort, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a foreign agent for Ukraine when he was doing some lobbying work on that country’s behalf.

Manafort decided to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe rather than face another trial and the prospect of several dozen more years behind bars following his first trial in which he was found guilty on a number of financial crimes.

But now that Manafort has pleaded, doesn’t Mueller now have to indict someone who had connections to Hillary Clinton’s campaign?

The answer is, of course, yes?

If you’re Tony and John Podesta, the latter who was Clinton’s campaign manager, you might start lawyering up.

As The Daily Caller‘s Chuck Ross reported:

Two lobbying firms, including one owned by Democratic superlobbyist Tony Podesta, knowingly worked with Paul Manafort at the direction of the Ukrainian government, according to an indictment released Friday by the special counsel’s office.

The indictment, which was released ahead of an expected plea deal for Manafort, the former chairman of President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, says that as a part of his “lobbying scheme,” Manafort solicited two lobbying firms in February 2012 to lobby on behalf of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

“Various employees of Companies A and B understood that they were receiving direction from MANAFORT and President Yanukovych, not the Centre, which was not even operational when Companies A and B began lobbying for Ukraine,” reads the indictment. The Centre is a reference to the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, a Brussels-based non-profit that the government says was used to support Yanukovych.

Company A has been identified as Mercury Public Affairs, a lobbying shop operated by former Minnesota Republican Rep. Vin Weber. Company B has been identified as Podesta Group, the firm that Tony Podesta founded with his brother, John, the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

The indictment also says Manafort, Gates, and “employees of both Companies A and B referred to the client in ways that made clear they knew it was Ukraine, for instance noting that the ‘client’ had an Embassy in Washington D.C.”

Nobody from Podesta Group or Mercury Public Affairs has faced charges in the case, though the latest indictment suggests that the lobbying firms skirted federal law by failing to register as foreign agents with the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Mueller has no choice now but to have the Podesta brothers arrested and charged with the same conspiracy to commit crimes as Manafort.

“The indictment lays out evidence that Manafort, his business partner Rick Gates, and employees at Mercury Public Affairs and the Podesta Group were aware they were working for Yanukovych,” Ross wrote.

Nice !! … Mueller hoisted on his own petard !!!

  2. I love it. Manafort is a smart man. The Podestas are definitely part of the Dims Deep State. I hope Mueller raids their offices and homes and takes every piece of paper he can find.

  3. In a lawful world yes the Podesta’s would also have to go down but you are forgetting that they are democrats and thus own the FBI, DOJ and the IRS and besides they are personal friends of the Clintons. No way either Podesta goes to prison for the same charges that Manafort is going to.

  4. If I were a betting man, I’d be willing to put up real money that a Podesta indictment will never happen.

  5. This is a naive assumption at best.

The Deep State protects its own.

  6. The danger here is that Mueller indicts them and gives them a really easy plea bargain, or munges the prosecution so that it cannot be retried.

As the military arm of the Democratic Party, the Department of Justice reserves the right to use prosecutorial discretion when dealing with fellow Democrats.

  8. The Mueller operation is part of a criminal intelligence effort to coverup deep state crimes and destroy Trump. His accomplices Rosenstein and Sessions have no interest in justice either.

  9. trouble with this, Mueller is butt deep in the dark state/ hillary crime machine even if he were to indict podesta he’d command the Federal Bureau Minions to over look anything they found on him,
no going through his offices home, and lawyer’s office and home, with open ended warrents
