CNN’s Don Lemon: Harassing, threatening conservative lawmakers ‘is what you get’

(National SentinelUnconstitutional: You may recall in recent days that members of a far-Left group calling themselves “Smash Racism DC” accosted Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife Heidi in a local Washington restaurant.

The group of what appeared to be mostly young people — and who are in dire need of a dictionary so they can look up the word “fascism” (and then look in a mirror) — got up close and personal with the senator and his bride, forcing them to vacate the premises before they themselves were asked to leave by restaurant managers.

Watch:

As you can, at one point Cruz ‘insists’ that the pagan trolls allow his wife to pass, which could have led directly to confrontation had the little Nazis refused to give ground.

This kind of public harassment and the threats of physical bodily harm, however, is no big deal to CNN host Don Lemon. It’s all just part of the job (when it comes to Republicans) and Cruz & Co. will just have to take it.

“In a way, I think it goes with the territory. I don’t like that they were blocking his wife, but that’s what he signed up for. And as a strict constitutionalist, which Ted Cruz is, he knows it is protected under the First Amendment,” Lemon said, as reported by Red State.

He added, “I don’t like it; I don’t like it happening to [Cruz’s] wife. That’s what he signed up for. That’s part of the deal. I don’t like it, but it is one reason I’m not a public official, that I’m not running for office.”

Conservative columnist, radio host, author, and lawyer Larry Elder vehemently disagrees. Like most, he sees the clear difference between protected expression and speech and illegal harassment and threats in public.

“Watch @donlemon and attorney @ChrisCuomo falsely assert that protesters “have the right” to heckle, harass, shout down government officials IN A PRIVATE RESTAURANT. NO, THEY DON’T!!!” he tweeted.

But of course, this is the political environment that Democrats and the sycophantic far-Left domestic terrorists they are encouraging and enabling have created. But it’s a one-way street; only Leftists get to engage in this behavior because they are inherently right and conservatives are inherently wrong.

Or something like that.

Anyone who still believes the Democratic Left isn’t fomenting civil unrest and that we’re already, as a country, engaged in low-level conflict isn’t paying attention.

And when people in the “media” — like Don Lemon — excuse such behavior, you know it’s only going to get worse.
