(National Sentinel) Pretenders: The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations says that POTUS Donald Trump’s Cabinet has a difficult time keeping pace with him because he’s always on the move while noting that “world leaders” are confounded by the way he’s treated in the American media.
In an interview with Fox News‘ “Fox & Friends” morning program Wednesday, Nikki Haley praised the president for all of his accomplishments in less than two years, while noting that leaders around the world say media coverage of impeachment and use of the 25th Amendment to oust POTUS from office are confusing to them.
When asked about the constant media criticism of the president, Haley remarked that “it’s gotten so disgusting.”
“The idea that he’s not mentally fit, the idea that we would be talking about the 25th Amendment…none of that is true,” she said. “It couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
Haley was likely responding to a New York Times report last week claiming that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein offered to secretly record POTUS Trump inside the Oval Office in May 2017 while seeking to “recruit” top Trump administration officials to get rid of the president via the 25th Amendment — a majority of Cabinet members voting for removal — for mental incompetence.
“You’ve got a president who is non-stop going all the time,” Haley said, adding that “the Cabinet’s just trying to keep up with him.
“He’s getting things done left and right. How can you honestly think a man who doesn’t know what he’s doing is getting this much stuff done?” Haley said, ticking off the president’s progress on the economy, trade, and foreign policy including getting North Korea to the negotiating table. “Americans are living better than they ever have and you’re going to go question his leadership?”
Of course, little of the president’s accomplishment’s are covered positively by the “establishment” media.
Regarding all of that negative coverage — which a recent study found to be 90 percent — Haley said:
You know what’s interesting, I looked at the media [coverage] yesterday and they all want to talk about the worldview of the president is. What they need to understand is the world doesn’t understand the media in America right now. Like, they see what the president’s doing…that’s what makes us look bad [the media’s coverage]…
I was talking to a world leader yesterday — I won’t name which leader it was — and he said, ‘I can’t believe that they would ever talk about impeachment, the 25th Amendment..’ He said, ‘Do they understand this is America, you don’t play with something like that.’ Leaders don’t understand why this is even a conversation. They find it dangerous for our country.
