(National Sentinel) Sabotage: During an interview on CBS News’ “60 Minutes” program Sunday, retiring GOP Sen. Jeff Flake made a startling admission that should get him plenty of hate mail from real conservatives.
During a joint appearance with Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., the Arizona Republican admitted that he would have never thrown Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination into disarray like he did last week by insisting that, in exchange for his Judiciary Committee vote, the GOP leadership agree to a week-long investigation of the very bogus and uncorroborated sexual allegations made against him.
Zero Hedge reported:
When asked if he would have asked for the new probe if he were up for reelection in the November midterms, Flake responded: “Not a chance,” adding “There’s no value in reaching across the aisle… there’s no currency for that anymore. There’s no incentive.”
Well, right. We knew that (like Coons is some moderate compromiser?). We’ve known that for more than 10 years. We’ve known that since Barack Obama weaponized the Democratic Party and turned it into a hate magnet for the perpetually angry Left.
Zero Hedge noted further:
After failing to convince the Judiciary Committee to abstain from voting pending an FBI investigation, he insisted that he would vote “no” on the full Senate floor – and was joined by Alaska GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski – one day after she was seen being badgered in a hallway by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).
So the real question, Jeff, is why you decided to make this demand in the first place? Or is urinating on the country just to spite POTUS Trump and his legions of supporters an Arizona thing?
Good riddance. Maybe in your next professional life, you’ll reclaim your scruples and grow a backbone.
