(National Sentinel) Stupid: If you needed another example that today’s far-Left Democratic Party is dead-set on blowing up every single American institution in its relentless pursuit of power, this is it.
As expected, the FBI’s seventh background check of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, this one in response to three-decade-old, uncorroborated sexual assault allegations, found no evidence that the Supreme Court nominee did anything untoward regarding his behavior toward women.
In fact, as the FBI discovered, there are no witnesses to the allegations and no evidence whatsoever to back up the claims. So that’s it then, right.
Wrong. Enter Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii. She’s been using the allegations against Kavanaugh to get her smug face in front of every TV camera she can find. And now she’s slandering the FBI over its conclusions.
Calling the FBI’s probe “a farce investigation,” Hirono told another far-Left hack, MSNBC‘s Rachel Maddow, “I’ve said that I hope we can be as transparent as possible, and that’s why we requested that there be a bipartisan agreement as to what parts of the report we can make public.”
This is a paragraph of content.
“At the same time, we’re already hearing from outside sources that the investigation was limited. It was under the control of the White House,” she said without a shred of proof.
“In spite of the fact the president said … they should interview Judge Kavanaugh, as well as Dr. Ford. But I don’t think those things happened, nor were various leads followed up. We know of so many people, which I think you reported yourself, that a lot of people would like to have been interviewed by the FBI but have not been contacted,” she continued.
In a word, that’s just plain stupid. The FBI didn’t have to interview Ford or Kavanaugh. The FBI already has video evidence of their sworn statements during the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing a week ago. What else can the FBI ask? And what are the chances that Ford and/or Kavanaugh would change their sworn testimony (in which Ford still could not recall any details about the night Kavanaugh allegedly assault her)?
As for those other people, the FBI already had their sworn statements, too.
Then Hirono complained about the ‘short’ timeframe of the investigation.
“Even with a short time frame, I was under the expectation, I certainly had the expectation that the FBI would provide the resources necessary to do a complete job so that it’s not some kind of a farce investigation,” she said.
Let it be noted that the FBI should never have been involved in the first place. It is the Senate’s job — her job — to gather evidence and statements in the chamber’s constitutional advice and consent role.
But isn’t it funny not a single Democrat (we’re looking at you, Sen. Dianne Feinstein) called for an FBI probe over the summer when Ford’s letter
became public was leaked?
It’s disgusting to watch Democrats destroy one institution after another. Hopefully in November voters will make the minority party even more of a minority because of it.
