Rand Paul worries current political climate caused by DEMS will lead to an assassination

(National SentinelViolence: Sen. Rand Paul, who was assaulted last fall by an angry Leftist neighbor and received six fractured ribs, says he’s concerned that the current political environment is becoming so toxic that someone in government is going to be assassinated.

Speaking to a radio station in his home state of Kentucky on Tuesday, the GOP senator said that the rhetoric being used by some lawmakers (Democrats) is stoking the anger and dog whistling to crackpots.

In discussing the highly partisan battle of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Paul stated that he was concerned that there “is going to be an assassination.”

“I really worry that someone is going to be killed and that those who are ratcheting up the conversation … they have to realize that they bear some responsibility if this elevates to violence,” Paul said.

He also talked about the near-assassination of Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., on a northern Virginia ball field early one morning in June 2017. Paul and other Republican lawmakers were the targets; Scalise is still recovering.

“These are people that are unstable. We don’t want to encourage them,” said Paul. “We have to somehow ratchet it down and say we’re not encouraging them that violence is ever OK.”

The Kentucky Republican was then asked about Sen. Cory Booker’s call for supporters to “get up in the face of some congresspeople and tell them about common sense solutions” regarding how to end homelessness. He said the New Jersey Democrat’s statement could easily push someone to violence.

“I think what people need to realize is when people like Cory Booker say ‘get up in their face,’ he may think that that’s OK,” Paul said. “But what he doesn’t realize is that for about every 1,000” people who “might want to get up in your face, one of them is going to be unstable enough to commit violence.”

Paul is right, of course. As former Georgia Rep. Bob Barr writes today in his column, what we’re seeing from the Left is not akin to the Nazi Brown Shirts of the 1930s, but more like the fall of the Roman Empire, when the people increasingly ignored the rule of law and killed leaders who strayed from the status quo.

The social fabric of America is being unraveled by the Left, and they are being enabled by the Democratic Party, all because they abhor being out of power.
