Former Dem aide: Migrant caravan plays right into GOP hands ahead of midterms

(TNSRed Wave: A former Democratic aide says that the approaching migrant caravan couldn’t have come at a worse time for his party because it is a crisis that will play into the hands of Republicans and weaken Dem chances of retaking Congress.

Democrats “should be very concerned about” their midterm election chances now said former Democratic Senate aide Chris Hahn during an interview on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”

“I think that this current wave of immigration plays perfectly into the Republicans’ hands coming at the closing days of the midterms. In fact, they should be taken very seriously and could alter it,” said Hahn, a former aide to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Lifezette reported.

“It weakens our chance of taking the Senate because it mobilizes and energizes the Trump base. This is their number-one issue,” he added. “This couldn’t have been scripted better for Republicans … if they’d planned it or something. This is something that Democrats should be very concerned about.”

It’s not clear who is ‘financing’ the caravan, which has grown to between, 7,000 and 10,000 people, but it’s obvious that someone is; how else can that many people trek some 2,000 miles to the U.S. border at about 20 miles per day without food, water, and hygiene along the way?

But if the Left is behind this caravan as a way to try and weaken Republicans right before the midterms — the caravan is expected to arrive shortly before the elections and create a ‘crisis’ — they miscalculated badly.

Hahn is right; the caravan will inspire more GOP voters to go to the polls.

  1. We can fix this caravan crisis without any drama and without any Democratic Party narrative being played ad nauseam, over and over in a continuous loop. The solution is simple. All the President has to do is just “Man-up” and seal the border. “Batta boom,” it’s solved, done.

By all means, please do go ahead and deploy the military. And coordinate, or at least announce coordination with the Mexican government, but just seal the border. Close it down, all the crossings. American citizens will be processed of course, but very slowly and carefully. Everyone and every thing else gets turned back. Shut it down closed, as tight as a frog’s hind quarters, a regular, military, check point Charlie, or Carlos, if you prefer.

Then we can begin some very deliberate and detailed, well thought out diplomatic discussions with Mexico about how to best secure our mutual frontier. That should cost a lot of very big people a great deal of money. I imagine the Mexicans will immediately put their thinking sombreros on. And so will the American corporations who engineered this bit of NAFTA globalism in the first place. Personally, I have a great deal of sympathy for both of these special interests, but the solution, and here’s the big billion dollar insight boys and girls is to make what is now America’s border problem, their problem. And truth be told, that’s why they pay me the really big bucks.

The Democrats with all of their antics will suddenly become the concern of some very serious and substantial interests. Wanna bet it gets solved fast? Would anyone care to wager, but that the problem of a secure border suddenly becomes a defacto win/win situation? You see, my dad showed me the back of his hand once. The lesson was, dare I say jarring? The message conveyed, “Where’s there a will; there’s a way.”

As President, the chief executive’s foremost duty is to protect America’s heartland from invasion. That would be the Administration’s very under stated, but official position while the President can only be expected to be unmovable in his commitment to America’s security. Everything else suddenly becomes the pressing problem of those interests who want the border reopened. Like I said, “Batta Boom.”

Solving problems is what I do. It really isn’t very hard. Give me a call anytime you’d like some assistance. Cry me a river Democrats

  2. Marty, I am so hoping that Trump shuts the border down, as you say “as tight as a frog’s hind quarter”. The collective sigh of relief from the rational thinking citizens of this nation may be felt around the globe. I talk to a lot of people in my daily travels and the overwhelming sentiment seems to be that this illegal immigration fiasco has gone on way too long. That Trump is willing to put the military on the border to close it down just elevates his image in the eyes of most of those I talk to. If he does it, he should have no problem being re-elected in 2020.
Batta Boom, Botta Bing. If the problem is to be solved, Trump is the one who is gonna do it. Certainly not the rest of the punks in DC. Least of all the dims.

  3. “Democrats ‘should be very concerned about’ their midterm election chances now…”

LMAO!! Yeah…Dems should worry NOW…as though they had it in the bag before!

The Blue Wave has been nothing but a fallacy from it’s flawed inception. It’s a ploy to buoy the spirits of the Left. A snowball has a better chance in Hell than the Dems to of taking the House OR Senate!

Have something to say?
