Porn lawyer Michael Avenatti hit with new $100k claim that he appears to owe

(National SentinelBad Deal: October certainly was not a good month for creepy porn star lawyer and — [gulp] — potential 2020 Democratic presidential contender Michael Avenatti, and November isn’t starting out well, either.

After porn star client Stormy Daniels lost her defamation lawsuit against POTUS Donald Trump, a judge levied a $4-plus million judgment against Avenatti and his law firm was booted out of its California office for non-payment of rent.

Now, a former business partner is claiming that Avenatti owes him $110,000 for an unpaid debt, and bank records appear to indicate that he does.

As The Daily Caller reports, the owner of the Washington state-based company Dillanos Coffee, founder and CEO David Morris, said that Avenatti refuses to pay him, repeatedly claiming he doesn’t owe the money.

However, “bank records and other related documents Dillanos’ attorney provided to The Daily Caller News Foundation appear to undermine what Avenatti previously said about the dispute,” the website reported.

The DC noted further:

Morris first said on May 9 that Avenatti owed him $160,000 for unpaid debts related to Avenatti’s ownership and management of Tully’s Coffee, a financially insecure Seattle coffee chain that shuttered all of its locations earlier this year.

Avenatti’s company used Dillanos as a coffee supplier, but failed to pay its bills, Morris said at the time.

Avenatti denied owing Dillanos anything, but Morris announced the next day, May 10, that he had “worked out an arrangement” with the celebrity lawyer.

Avenatti transferred $50,000 to Dillanos the same day, bank records reviewed by TheDCNF show. Morris claims Avenatti still owes Dillanos the remaining $110,000.

The news site received a screenshot of a successful wire transfer of $110,000 on June 15. The Dillanos attorney said Avenatti sent the screenshot as evidence he paid the money.

However, documents reviewed by The DC indicate that the money never reached Dillanos’ account. Five months of bank statements reviewed by the news site after the May 10 payment through the end of September also do not show a successful wire transfer of the money.

Avenatti keeps believing his own press because he appears to be seriously considering a 2020 presidential run as a Democrat.

We couldn’t think of an easier opponent for POTUS Donald Trump to beat, with the possible exception of Hillary Clinton.
