(National Sentinel) Witch Hunt: Republicans may have lost control over the House in Tuesday’s midterms, but they gained seats in the Senate and Democrats are in no position to ‘govern’ without the support of the GOP and POTUS Donald Trump.
Still, though Republicans might be thinking their party had a bad night last night, they’re not alone.
So did special counsel Robert Mueller.
In exit polling by CNN no less, more than half of those surveyed said they believe his investigation is not only pointless but “politically motivated,” while just 40 percent said that his investigation into possible “collusion” between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign was legitimate.
Those results closely matched exit polling from NBC News on the same question, The Daily Caller reported:
According to NBC, 45 percent of voters said they disapprove of Mueller’s handling of the investigation, which began with an FBI probe on July 31, 2016. Forty-two percent of voters said they approve of Mueller’s handling of the inquiry.
Six in 10 Democrats and only two in 10 Republicans support the investigation. Independents were closely divided with 43 percent approving of the investigation and 42 percent disapproving.
These figures are substantially lower than they were in August. An ABC News-Washington Post survey taken between Aug. 26-29 found that 63 percent of Americans supported Mueller’s investigation compared to 29 percent who were opposed.
The disapproval figures are likely set to go higher.
Democrats will control the House come January and already liar/leaker Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who will take over control of the Intelligence Committee, has vowed to expand the “Russian collusion” investigation that has thus far turned up no evidence of any wrongdoing by the 2016 Trump campaign.
