(National Sentinel) Corrupt: GOP Florida Governor and for now, U.S. Sen.-elect Rick Scott isn’t sitting around on his laurels waiting for Democrats to complete their theft of his election victory and that of GOP Rep. Ron DeSantis, who defeated Democratic Mayor of Tallahassee Andrew Gillum in the race to succeed Scott.
He’s being proactive to secure their victories. Late Thursday he filed a pair of lawsuits demanding that Broward and Palm Beach County officials hand over all midterm election ballots that were mysteriously “found” after the 40-hour post-election deadline to turn them all in.
And on Friday afternoon, a judge granted his request, ordering all ballots to be turned over for inspection by 7 p.m.
NBC Miami reported:
Scott’s campaign filed a lawsuit demanding that Broward Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes turn over several records detailing the counting and collection of ballots cast for each day of the past week.
A hearing on the case was held Friday afternoon, where a judge said there was a violation of Florida’s Constitution and public records act. The judge ordered Snipes to allow inspection of the records on or before 7 p.m. Friday.
Snipes has been in legal hot water before over election shenanigans; why she isn’t wearing prison stripes already is another story altogether.
Nevertheless, it appears as though Scott and the Republican Party were ready for something like this to happen and were prepared to fight it.
