CNN’s Carl Bernstein calls on press to ‘edit’ POTUS Trump: This is why he uses Twitter

(National SentinelPropaganda: ‘Famed’ Watergate reporter and current CNN contributor Carl Bernstein is pushing cable news outlets to “edit” POTUS Donald Trump by not carrying airing his full press conferences.

“We need to start thinking of a different way to cover his press conferences and briefings,” he told Brian Stelter’s misnamed “Reliable Sources” program.

“For instance, I don’t think we should be taking them live all the time and just pasting them up on the air, because they’re basically propagandist exercises because [reporters] are overwhelmed by his dishonesty and lying,” he said.

“We need to start treating it like a news event,” he said. “And look, in cable, we have websites. We can put up the total press conference on our website so that everybody has the chance to see it, or the briefing, and we ought to, and it’s a matter of record, and we can be the place of record so everybody can see every word if they want it.

“But we need to start editing,” he added. “We need to say, ‘Here’s the story,’ not just give him a microphone when we know that his methodology is to engage and manipulate us on the basis of lying, propaganda and agitprop.”

In other words, he is suggesting that the networks ‘frame’ what the president is really saying — ‘define’ it for the poor, ignorant masses.

This is why POTUS Trump has a Twitter account and why he uses it so frequently.

There is also this. Bernstein and CNN aren’t concerned about “lying” — if they were they would never have aired Obama’s press conferences.

They are worried about POTUS Trump’s effectiveness in reaching voters. That’s really why Bernstein wants his network and others to stop covering the president live; they want to take away his ability to connect with the public.

The longer POTUS is in office, the more unhinged the Left — especially the Left-wing establishment media — becomes. Bernstein’s suggestion is right out of Communist China’s School of Journalistic Suppression.
