(National Sentinel) Lunacy: If you held out any hope that the incoming Democrat majority in the House would hit the ground ready to work with the GOP and the president on behalf of getting things done for the American people and the country, you can forget about it.
They’re not interested in any of that.
Rather, they’re far more interested in feeding red meat to their sycophantic supporters by investigating the Trump administration and the president himself than they are doing good things for our country.
Forget prison reform. Forget infrastructure repair. Forget ensuring our military remains highly capable and fully funded.
Nope. They’d rather investigate nonsense — like, when POTUS Trump uses the term “nationalist” to describe himself and his supporters, is he really stoking “hate crimes?”
Not even kidding.
“He calls himself a nationalist. He falsely claims that ‘foreigners’ are the primary sources of domestic terror. He famously claimed that there were ‘some very fine people on both sides’ of the riot in Charlottesville — where a neo-Nazi demonstration ended in the death of one counter-protestor and two officers of the Virginia state police,” said King Idiot…er, Rep. Jarrold Nadler, D-N.Y., who will chair the House Judiciary Committee come January.
Nadler actually put that in a letter to the to the FBI, Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security demanding more information on whether there’s been a real rise in reports of hate crimes, and on how the administration pursues such investigations.
He claimed that Congress has been kept “largely in the dark” about hate crimes and particularly those from the tens of millions of “white supremacists” (that don’t exist).
This is what is going to pass for Democratic priorities: Taking the president’s America First patriotism out of context and inventing yet another Caucasian ‘racist’ boogyman.
And Democrats wonder why half the country can’t take them seriously.
We wonder why it’s only half the country.
