Turley on FBI’s targeting of Flynn: ‘A canned hunt;’ ‘Put him in a cage and shot him’ (Video)

(National SentinelSet-Up: George Washington University law professor and constitutional expert Jonathan Turley said during an interview Friday that it is now obvious that James Comey’s corrupt FBI intentionally targeted former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — for some reason — as evidenced by the way agents went after him.

“We do know that for some reason they were hunting for Flynn. They say quite clearly, ‘We intentionally didn’t remind him he’s got to be careful what he says to us. It can be a crime,’ which they did with other witnesses,” Turley told Fox News‘ Martha McCallum.

“They skipped the protocols and went directly to him circumventing counsel from the White House. And then when he finally did say something that they thought was not accurate they didn’t raise it. They didn’t correct it.

“So the question is, why would they be hunting for Flynn at this point. That’s what’s not explained in any of these filings,” he continued.

Earlier, Turley described the Gen. Flynn investigation as a “canned hunt,” adding that “they put him in a cage and shot him.”

As we noted, special counsel Robert Mueller’s sentencing memo for Flynn, filed with a federal court last week, made it clear that FBI agents, one of whom was Peter Strzok, were targeting Flynn.

The memo reads, in part:

Prior to the FBI’s interview of General Flynn, Mr. McCabe and other FBI officials “decided the agents would not wary Flynn that it was a crime to lie during an FBI interview because they wanted Flynn to be relaxed, and they were concerned that giving the warnings might adversely affect the rapport,” one of the agents reported.

Before the interview, FBI officials had also decided that, if “Flynn said he did not remember something they knew he said, they would use the exact words Flynn used…to try to refresh his recollection. If Flynn still would not confirm what he said…they would not confront him or talk him through it. One of the agents reported that General Flynn was unguarded during the interview and “clearly saw the FBI agents as allies.”

Here is the full document.

As to Turley’s observation that Flynn’s interview was not standard, the criminal Comey himself admitted as much in a jovial interview last week.

In an interview with NBC’s Nicole Wallace in front of a very approving audience last week, Comey said he sent two FBI agents to visit Flynn at the White House on January 24, 2017, because he believed he’d be able to pull it off unchallenged due to the early, chaotic nature of the Trump administration.

Wallace asked Comey: “You look at this White House now, and it’s hard to imagine two FBI agents ending up in the Stateroom. How did that happen?”

I sent them,” Comey replied, to audience laughter.

“Something we’ve — I probably wouldn’t have done or maybe gotten away with in a more organized investigation — a more organized administration. In the George W. Bush administration, for example, or the Obama administration,” he confessed.

“The protocol, two men that all of us perhaps have increased appreciation for over the last two years,” he continued to audience applause.

While we’d agree that President Bush was an honest man trying to do his best for our country after we were attacked by terrorists, to claim that his predecessor, President Obama, ran an honest administration is a sick stab at revisionist history.

As to why Flynn was targeted, it seems fairly obvious by now that he was set up so the Deep State could begin to establish its “Russian collusion” hoax to entrap the Trump administration.

Whatever the reason, a good man’s life has been ruined and no matter what happens from this point on, his reputation will never fully recover.

General Flynn crossed Obama, Clapper, and Brennan on Iran. They had Sally Yates set his takedown up and then Comey and McCabe executed the assassination.

It’s refreshing to have an independent observer and lawyer such as Jonathan Turley to reflect on the Comey-Mueller organized assassination. This should shut up liberals like Neil Cavuto and lead to his removal from Fox News, along with Andrew Napolitano, Janet’s brother.

Do we really need to ask why they were hunting Flynn? He promised to reform intelligence agencies and maybe they could get to President Trump through Flynn. Comey himself is proud to say publicly, he thought they could get away with it because it was so early on in the new Administration and there was disarray. Normally, with any other administration Comey says, they would have gone through the White House counsel’s office. The further we go and the deeper we go, the more inclusive and sinister becomes the conspiracy to protect those who had been stealing America. Meanwhile, corrupt… Read more »

The FBI is completely out of control. They’re now overtly the gestapo for the Deep State including the Clinton Crime Family. See the recent raid on Clinton Foundation whistleblower for a recent example.

Comey is without a doubt the most self-serving, partisan, liberal and phoney political hack in the history of the FBI. I am so glad he was fired and disgraced.
