A moving, highly emotional video produced by the Republican Party and posted online at YouTube is something that every American watching POTUS Donald Trump’s Oval Office address Tuesday evening discussing the “humanitarian crisis” along the U.S.-Mexico border should have seen immediately afterward.
Or, at least, immediately after the Democratic response by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. They called what is happening with illegal immigration and along the southwest border a “manufactured crisis.”
See what you think.
The video is a compilation of local news reports that provide details about deaths of Americans caused by illegal aliens. In addition, the video features some of the families of loved ones who were killed by people in the country illegally.
The first family highlighted by the video was the Duran family, who lost Sandra Duran in a violent car crash that was caused by an illegal immigrant in Los Angeles, a sanctuary city in a sanctuary state, in 2017. He also had an extensive criminal past.
“It hurts when somebody out of nowhere just takes your daughter’s life and you see the record he had,” Duran’s father said in the video.
The ad also shows the family of 15-year-old Nisa Mickens, who was brutally murdered by MS-13 gang members in New York in 2016.
“My daughter, she was the best thing that ever happened to me,” Mickens’ mother said in a very emotional news interview.
The death of Newman, California, Police Cpl. Ronil Singh, is also included in the video.
The officer was shot to death just a day after Christmas; an illegal immigrant with a criminal history has been charged in his murder.
Singh’s police chief, Randy Richardson, made a tear-filled address at Singh’s funeral, which was also included in the GOP video.
“I did not know Christmas morning, at 4 o’clock in the morning, when I said goodbye to him and set him off to his family that it would be the last time that I saw him,” Richardson said.
The video ends with this message: “Tell Democrats it’s time to secure the border.”
