2020: Trump campaign manager Parscale says POTUS approval at highest since Oval Office immigration speech

Some political observers think it’s odd that there has been little national polling regarding POTUS Donald Trump’s prime-time Oval Office speech earlier this week in which he discussed the “humanitarian crisis” taking place along our southern border.

But a tweet from the president’s 2020 campaign manager, Brad Parscale, might explain why.

Parscale says that according to his data, the president’s approval rating is sky-high after the speech.

“Just received my newest voter score tracking from my team. @realDonaldTrump has reached his highest national approval rating since I started tracking. The @TheDemocrats have really made a mistake going with their gut over data,” he wrote.

While Rasmussen Reports has the president at 45 percent approval one full day after the speech, Parscale’s data has been spot-on — for the 2016 and 2018 elections.

Most national polling on the president tends to skew Democrat or Left, so that may help explain why they are not releasing any polling data on how his immigration speech was received. It seems certain that Left-wing news agencies would publish results of any polling data that showed a negative reaction from the public.

Then again, often these same news organizations that conduct or commission polling skew it purposely so that they ensure the results will seem to be politically harmful for POTUS.

Time will tell. In the meantime, most Americans do believe that we have a problem at our southern border, though they may not think it rises to the level of a national emergency just yet.

And according to Rasmussen, one of the few pollsters who forecast Trump’s 2016 victory, most Americans believe the president’s proposed border wall would be effective.
