Hannity: Stone arrest indicates we may have already lost America

Fox News personality and national radio host Sean Hannity said in a column Wednesday that the FBI’s SWAT-style raid and arrest of longtime political operative and POTUS Trump associate Roger Stone is the latest ominous sign that Americans have completely lost control of their government.

Stone was arrested Friday in a pre-dawn raid that was filmed by CNN, the only news network on hand for the arrest. Video showed agents rushing up to Stone’s Fort Lauderdale, Fla., home after being indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller on seven counts including allegedly lying to Congress and obstruction of justice.

Hannity noted that several Obama administration officials have been caught or exposed for the same alleged crimes, yet none of them have been arrested much less charged.

“With all the people we know who lied to Congress – former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, ex-CIA Director John Brennan, the folks who lied to the FISA court and years of scandals like Fast and Furious, IRS targeting conservatives and Hillary Clinton’s missing emails, it’s good to know the feds finally got their man,” he wrote.

The Fox News host went onto say that Stone was arrested for the same reason U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis said that Mueller pinched POTUS Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, and onetime 2016 campaign manager Paul Manafort: To squeeze him so that he will implicate the president in some sort of criminal activity.

Mueller was first appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to investigate allegations of criminal collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia. No evidence has been presented thus far indicating that happened, and the president has regularly denied it.

“Stone got the same treatment as Manafort and Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen. All the other people who lied to Congress or to FISA judges got a pass. Roger Stone committed no violent crime. He’s not a drug dealer or a drug kingpin. He’s not a Mafioso or a gangster. He’s not El Chapo. He may have lied to Congress,” Hannity wrote.

“All the feds had to do was call his lawyer and say, ‘Be at police headquarters for processing at 9 a.m. or we’re putting a warrant out for your arrest,’ and he would have shown up,” he added.

Other analysts have noted that acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker and FBI Director Christopher Wray would have known about Stone’s arrest and likely were aware of the tactics that were to be used during his arrest. Both officials were nominated by POTUS Trump, who later criticized the raid’s tactics.

Whitaker said Tuesday that Mueller’s probe was close to wrapping up, adding that his decisions will be reviewed, though he wasn’t clear what that meant.

Hannity noted that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who lost to Trump in 2016, and her associates “ignored” congressional subpoenas for emails, wiped her email server hard drives of all data and physically destroyed cellphones and other personal devices to avoid having to turn them over to investigators.

“Do you think you could get away with that?” he wrote. “You might, if you could help the Deep State with its witch hunt for President Trump.”

Hannity closed his piece with a dire warning.

“If you don’t apply the laws equally, only going after one group of people because of their political views, and you protect people with other political views, you’ve lost our Constitution. We’ve lost our country,” he said.

“Without equal application of our laws and equal justice under the law, there’s one thing left to say to our great nation: Goodbye.”

  1. So, a SWAT team storms Stone’s house at 04:00am and makes his wife wait outside in the cold while they arrest him and search his house … for no crimes committed. Hillary and the Deep State are gross, repeat, treasonous offenders of our laws and they walk free. Not one of them have been arrested despite overwhelming evidence.

I agree with Hannity. We have lost our country. Where was Whitaker? Why did he allow this? Why is he silent on this? Is he part of the Deep State too? Something here is horribly wrong. They are taking our government away from us right in front of our eyes! We need Trump to engage the enemy full throttle and I don’t mean just occasional Twitter complaints.

    • Whitaker is too scared to do anything. He has failed.

Trump is not willing to take the risks and sacrifice himself for the nation. The only way to fight this situation is viciously.

My primary concern is that the FBI agents are OK with this and follow the orders of a tyrant without question. Without loyal soldiers a tyrant has no power. If they are so gutless that they will turn against innocent citizens, we are really in deep trouble. We the people must turn against them publicly and denounce their actions with ultimatums or suffer the consequences. It’s up to us to stop the abuse or we suffer the consequences.

  3. The “resistance” to Trump will only succeed in convincing us that we have exhausted our PEACEFUL means of restoring our republic (NOT “our democracy”!).
So the Congresswoman from San FranSicko and the walking ad for anti-Semitism Sen. Schmuck Chewmore think they have turned the tide.
WE ELECTED TRUMP TO RESTORE AMERICA, PEACEFULLY. If he is thwarted by the abuse of Deep State power we know where to look for our enemies.

    Dear President Trump:

You took an oath to defend America against enemies both foreign and domestic. Sir, enemies have commandeered our government and have twisted American virtue into a sinister counterfeit. These enemies have openly insulted you and our Constitution. They are boasting that Socialism is the new standard and that a new form of government is necessary. They hate America and everything she stands for. Their hate our flag. They hate those of us who are still loyal to you. Sir, if nothing is done, they will succeed.

What good are border walls if eventually the Left will open all borders anyway? What good is a strong economy if Evil rises to control our lives and they tax us into oblivion? What good is justice if the judges themselves are corrupt? What good is America if she is toppled off our Forefather’s Constitution? Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness will be replaced with death, slavery and depression.

Sir, when the Civil War struck, did Abraham Lincoln just sit down and whine about it on Twitter? No, he had the courage and fortitude to stand up and take whatever action was necessary to save this great Union. He faced unimaginable odds and the hatred of many people. Half this country yelled at his face, ” You are not my President! “, which is a rant that is being echoed today. I can only imagine the heartache he must have felt. He was hated for doing the right thing and though he won that battle to save America’s soul, sadly, he paid for it with his life.

Sir, many of us believe that God chose you for this moment in time. To quote a phrase I heard once in a movie, ” The most difficult decisions in life often come down to just one moment. ” Sir, this is your moment. It’s time to make those hard decisions. Please don’t let us down. Whatever happens though, please remember that we still love you and I for one am proud to say, ” You are my President. “

    • There have been many criminal abuses, obvious situations for the executive to react to with action. He has not. He appears unwilling. He is not tough.
