Scumbag Strzok joined Mueller team to use Trump impeachment as promotion vehicle: Page

By Jon Dougherty

Fired FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok agreed to become part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team because he believed taking part in an investigation that resulted in POTUS Donald Trump’s impeachment would look good on his record and result in a promotion, according to congressional testimony by his one-time lover.

According to recently released transcripts of her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page said initially Strzok expressed some reservations about joining Mueller’s team because if the investigation didn’t produce anything actionable, it might delay his upward mobility within the FBI.

In response to questions from Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas), Page described Strzok’s reasoning: “If this is going to fizzle out and be nothing, then I shouldn’t sort of sacrifice my sort of long-term career prospects. If it’s going to end in impeachment, that’s kind of a big deal. I mean, put aside who it is, put aside how we feel about it. You know, that’s monumental.”

“People who are on Watergate are still known as somebody who was on Watergate,” Page noted further.

Despite text exchanges between Strzok and Page, who were lovers at the time, indicating a distinct anti-Trump bias, the former FBI lawyer insisted that Strzok wasn’t considering joining Mueller for political reasons.

“And so that’s not sort of taken with respect to the, you know, feelings about Donald Trump,” she told the committee. “It’s about being on an unbelievably kick-ass team and being a part of, you know, something impressive.”

Earlier, according to the transcript, Page confirms that she sent a text to Strzok pertaining to their roles in investigating then-GOP nominee Donald Trump in August 2016, where she told her lover, “Maybe you’re meant to stay where you are because you’re meant to protect the country from that menace.”

Page admitted to the committee that the menace she was referring to was Trump.

In December 2017, we reported that a producer for Fox News obtained a trove of 10,000 emails sent between Strzok and Page showing them disparaging then-Candidate Trump and later as president-elect.

Page sent a text to Strzok saying, ‘Trump should go f*ck himself.’

Also:

Seriously?! Would you not [vote] D[emocrat]?” Page responded.

“I don’t know,” Strzok answered. “I suppose Hillary [Clinton].”

“I would [vote] D,” Page affirmed.

Two days later, Page texted Strzok: “God, Trump is a loathsome human.”

“Yet he many[sic] win,” Strzok responded. “Good for Hillary.”

Later the same day, Strzok texted Page, “Omg [Trump’s] an idiot.”

“He’s awful,” Page answered.

“America will get what the voting public deserves,” said Strzok, to which Page responded. “That’s what I’m afraid of.”

  1. I wonder why Page confessed all these details about Strzok. She’s not obviously protecting him. Maybe Strzok dumped their love affair for another woman and this is her revenge.

    Yep.

  2. How’d that work out for ya, Strzok.
