POTUS goes there: Trump calls Democrats ‘TREASONOUS’ for their ‘open border mindset’

By Jon Dougherty

As Democrats are in full panic/meltdown mode following Attorney General William Barr’s very pointed claim on Capitol Hill Wednesday that he believes the 2016 Trump campaign was spied on by the Obama regime’s FBI and Intelligence Community (of course it was), POTUS Donald Trump himself is keeping the pressure on the Donkey Party over its refusal to help him deal with the burgeoning migrant crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border.

In a tweet Wednesday as he headed to San Antonio, Texas, for a campaign rally, the president actually labeled Democratic intransigence over border security “treasonous” as he lamented their “open border mindset.”

“I think what the Democrats are doing with the Border is TREASONOUS. Their Open Border mindset is putting our Country at risk. Will not let this happen!” the president vowed.

The tweet — and the president’s frustration — comes amid a shakeup of leadership at the Department of Homeland Security as hundreds of thousands of migrants, mostly from Central America, have mysteriously begun trekking to the United States. We covered this Wednesday — or rather, Rush Limbaugh’s theory about it — here.

As we have reported, the migrant crush along our southwestern border is real, despite Democrat denials:

But rather than help the president address the growing crisis, Democrats and some RINOs in Congress have since pivoted to other issues that are far less important or pressing — like gun control, the president’s taxes, and seeing the complete report on the Russian collusion hoax filed recently by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Meanwhile, the border crisis has only gotten worse — so much so, in fact, that seasoned Border Patrol agents and others living along the southwestern boundary are now witnessing a crush of illegal immigrants in numbers they’ve never seen before.

And our country’s ability to handle all of them has been overwhelmed.

Speaking of treasonous behavior, we noted in February that Left-wing Democratic governors pulling their National Guard troops off the border — or refusing to send them in the first place — could be seen by some as treasonous:

“New Mexico will not take part in the president’s charade of border fear-mongering by misusing our diligent National Guard troops,” Grisham announced just hours before the president gave his State of the Union Address (which was needlessly delayed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi).

Adding that she will allow some troops to remain to provide “humanitarian assistance,” she added, “I recognize and appreciate the legitimate concerns of residents and officials in southwestern New Mexico, particularly Hidalgo County, who have asked for our assistance, as migrants and asylum-seekers continue to appear at their doorstep.”

Because Democrats only practice groupthink, Newsom said nearly the same thing in ordering his Guard troops to withdraw.

“The border ’emergency’ is a manufactured crisis,” Newsom said a week after Grisham pulled New Mexico forces. “And California will not be part of this political theater.” …

The president may ultimately have no other choice but to declare a national emergency and in doing so, federalize Guard forces in all states along the border. If he does and Newsom and Grisham try to intervene, they should be arrested for treason.

Many of the president’s supporters are growing frustrated that he isn’t ‘doing more’ to enforce immigration law and shore up border security, but there is only so much he can do within the scope of his constitutional authority as head of the Executive Branch.

The only other alternative is for him to do the unthinkable — declare martial law, which, to the Left, would be tantamount to a declaration of war.

But clearly, the president isn’t giving up and that’s an important thing to remember; a lesser Republican president would have by now or would have never actually tried to keep campaign promises to build border walls and enforce immigration laws in the first place.

There is also this: Trump uses the kind of strong, frank language a president hasn’t used to characterize and describe his political enemies since the 19th century. The honesty is refreshing and daily reminder of why we elected him in the first place.

Democrats aren’t used to being talked about or talked to like this so they’re going to freak out — again — and traipse to their favorite cable news networks to complain about POTUS’ demeanor and his “divisive rhetoric.”

But what they still don’t understand is that this president is actually trying to improve a bad situation and secure our country, and he’s bewildered by the fact that there are American politicians, most concentrated in one party, who are actually opposed to it.

On Wednesday, the president also talked about the dangers Americans who live in border regions face daily — but which Democrats and their sycophantic media allies never discuss. These are criminal acts being perpetrated against American citizens — every day — none of which elected Democrats have to face or deal with.

  1. “The only other alternative is for him to do the unthinkable — declare martial law, which, to the Left, would be tantamount to a declaration of war.”

To the Right, the decent-thinking people of this country, the Democrats declared war years ago. Let’s get it on, and over with. The dirt of this country needs to be treated like dirt, by any and all means available . And many types of means are available.

  2. Yesterday we were told Trump was considering disallowing remittances, which in itself may indeed be a good thing, but it won’t do a damn thing to stop the border crisis. Here is what everyone already knows. Congress, the courts and the bureaucracy are all against Trump. They refuse to allow the system to work, or to allow him to fix it. Now the President needs to step up to the historical challenge. Trump needs to do some, or all of the things stated below:

    1) Shut the border down, incrementally perhaps, one,or two ports of entry at a time so as to ratchet up the pain. Mr. President, call me, maybe (?) and we can discuss it. Your advisers clearly seem to be out of ideas.

    2) Mobilize the military to border and repel illegals with whatever force is necessary. And speaking of the military, demote and discharge the Marine Commandant who allowed seditious action against you and your Administration’s policy by allowing leaking by his minions to go continue to go forward. What the hell is wrong with you anyway? You are suppose to be the commander in chief. Act like it. The Chinese are watching you know? Again, call me, maybe (?) and I’d be happy to explain it to you.

    3) Issue whatever executive orders necessary to negate whichever court orders and laws that are unhelpful. You have already done that with the gas and oil pipelines. This concerns nation’s security and your are the President.

    4) Sequester Congress in session and refuse to allow them to leave. Bring in cots and demand a solution. You already have a declaration of national emergency. You are the Commander in Chief. Take charge. Call me, maybe (?) because you won’t be able to tweet it in.

    5) Consider a declaration of martial law, should it become necessary. Demand a certain amount of fairness and representation from the opposition media networks and web sites, or shut them down. Such actions are considered legitimate temporary measures in national emergencies and under martial law.

    6) Declare the cartels international terrorists so you might actually be empowered to take lawful action against them. Go ahead and jump.

Man up, President Trump. Stop nibbling around the edges and stop trying to hide behind phony fixes such as the wall. Step up to the historical challenge, or get the hell out of the road. What we don’t need is anymore blow hard, ineffective, inadequate leadership. This isn’t a political problem. This is more a test of wills and fakers can go home.

And get yourself some advisers who have the same level of commitment to winning as you do. Bold and decisiveness, whatever it takes is for winners. Equivocating is for losers. Winners are the guys who do what others can’t, or won’t do. Once again, call me, maybe (?) because I can explain it all to you and tell you exactly what you need to do and exactly how to do it. You see, I’ve already been down range and I don’t choke under pressure. I win and I’d be more than happy to share with you what it takes. Call me, maybe?

    • I like your ideas and also remittances. Use every weapon. Mexico is winning only because the USA is not fighting back. Put the invaders in tent cities on the border.

The main problem here is that Trump is doing nothing of significance. Every time he talks his numbers go up. Every time he acts his party turns against him. He is conditioned to talk and not act. He is indecisive. He appears to be weak. Mexico and congress do not take him seriously. What little he is doing is far too slow to be effective.
